Thanks, I'm sure it'll be plenty useful :)
Taverius
So either it should be using antimatter, but isnt, or its correctly not using antimatter, and should not be disabled.
The Vasari phase node thingy, cant rememebr the name, that doesnt help allegiance-wise either.
Is this intended? I had a planet 2 normal jumps and 1 WH jump from home planet, "Distanmce from Home Planet: -1" and 45% max allegiance (with Advent max allegiance upgrade).
I'll definitely try this out... low acceleration and reasonably high top speed should satisfy both the need to have a maneuverability penalty for large ships and remove the tediousness when it comes to travelling long distance.
That would be good, Entrenchment games are long enough. Currently crossing star grav wells fully - something you have to a lot on agamennon's, which is what I was testing it on - takes long enough to resea
Guess its a good thing I mostly play Advent ...
I've also encountered one: Created a new map, added a star, dragged one of the 2 starter planets to the other star, added some planets to both, deleted the dragged home planet: invisible but can still be selected, delete again -> exception, however it is saved correctly.

Is it possible to cange the number of targets a ship can have at once? Not a modder myself, but in that case that's something to take a look at for the illums - its the combination of 270 degree firing angle + multiple targets that makes plopping an illum/guardian/subjugator blob in the middle of the enemy fleet so deadly.
That's a fair amoung of changes, will give this one a go :)
Yeah, my cap ship is slowing the fleet to a crawl. Otheriwse the speed is acceptable. Further points: main things to look at ability-wise are position-affecting abilities - mainly, advent/vasari support cruisers - and also abilities which depend on on target position. Cleansing Brilliance is a good example of the latter, it relies on middle-ages style battle formations to hit enough units for it to be worth firing, it might need a fairly substantial rework. Illums also
Initial impressions: The combat in battle is good. 15 minutes to cross a star's gravity well? Not so good [e digicons]8C[/e]
Good stuff :D

Well. I'll be using ti at any rate! [e digicons]:D[/e]
Looks pretty epic tbh ... did it fly through a cloud of bodies or something? [e digicons]8O[/e] It does highlight the kind fo changes that will be needed though - ships that move about furing combat need to have fairly high weapon range and short turning radius or they spend altogether too much time lining up for very short strafing runs. Moving ships with rear-facing weapons will have a large advantage.
A better way is to download nVidia's DDS tools and run 'nvdxt.exe -file Player_Portraits_Large.tga -dxt5' so that it will actually be a dds
nice [e digicons][/e]
... I was gonna ask if you were gonna do a smash with the updated bailknight, and then I was all d'oh that's not necessary anymore :D ... anyway, SPLOSIONS! RAR! I can't play without this mod anymore :)

The point that all new mice are new USB is moot - this is a laptop, and I use it as such; on the bed, on a chair in the garden, things like that. That precludes the kind of environment with a table and mouse where you might as well be using a (cheaper) desktop. Sure, laser mice might work well on the garden table, but why bother with that when i can just keep the laptop on my lap O.o
the keys "v" and "b" let you zoom in and out. "z," "x," and "c," give you single ship, gravity well, and galaxy view, respectively. I learned these because my touchpad didn't zoom. I always blamed the touchpad. It only works half the time for anything I'm doing. Didn't work for Battle for Middle-Earth 2, either.
I have found an application for windows apart from SOASE which desnt like the Synaptics emulated scroll; its PyGTK based.<
