I'm pretty sure it's a typo. It should be 1mt/1bil Otherwise, my planets have populations of only 40 million or so.

Beginner is truly weak. Not only do they have the least amount of algorithms, you also get +20% econ bonus I think. Also, they probably wanna park those ships in case you decide to smack them down anyway.
Hmm, I recall it being on the forums as a sticky...
Make it 12:01 AM +11 GMT As soon as one part of the world hits the 21st, make it available!
China's just authoritarian now I think.
Now let us download it!
If you didn't have it already, you probably can't get it anymore. I just checked, and another version is out.
From the manual: When you research Xeno Ethics, you'll be presented with the option to choose one of the philosophies at a price that varies according to the choices you've made so far. A player who has made evil choices will have to pay more to choose the good alignment, and vice versa. Each choice will un
Yes, make it available as soon as it's gold!
How come it's more expensive to order through Stardock than through those other game stores? $44.95 (electronic download) vs. $39.99 (box with goodies, and no shipping if you buy in-store).
I think good alignments give better trade, diplomacy, morale tech as well, while evil techs were mainly for war.
Uh, why? I think you may have missed the fact that Ship 1's defense is the wrong type, so his defense is square rooted. So it's more like 1d1.4 defense instead of 1d2 defense.
I think I saw a relationship bonus/penalty table showing good races have better relations with good races than evil races with evil races. So it helps diplomacy in general. Plus good races do more trading I think, which is useful for your income. And if it's like GalCiv1, certain techs are alignment restricted.
Well, the actual videos ARE kinda small. So if blown to a large resolution it's going to look bad. i.e., if you play the videos using Bink, it's maybe a quarter or a third of the screen's area at 1024x768. And you're playing at an even higher resolution.
From my experience, there's usually a trade-off between the game's AI and multiplayer. It's ok if the game's AI is crap so long as you can still play against other people. Conversely, if you don't have multiplayer, then a good AI is essential, unless you take the lazy route of letting the AI cheat.

Funny... in all these months, I never even noticed the council link... thanks! Edit: Well, I looked at the metaverse topics. It answers the medals question, it doesn't answer the reset or not question, so that's still something I want to know, as well as my other question.
1) When will we be able to download the final? Got an exact hour? 2) What's happening with the Metaverse? Is it being reset? Are we going to see the medals and stuff like with the GC1 forums?
Still no demo?
Well, if you ordered from EBGames.com, and you recall them asking for your address and having a shipping fee tacked on, then it'll be sent to your house. They do have an option to pick it up in-store for some games, but it's something you have to choose I think when you ordered it. You can always check your order history to see what you did with it.
6 hours and you gave up on EVE Online? That's like walking up and talking to the very first quest giver in WoW and quitting. Then again, if you haven't participated in the PVP it's easy to say that EVE's boring. But 2 weeks is not really enough to get fully into the PVP either. What other game has had a mercenary corp on an assassination mission infiltrate another corp, gain their trust over several months, rise up through the r
Now this I'm interested in. Wonder what the sys requirements are though.
Anything short of closed servers (like Diablo 2) does not interest me. That was the biggest disappointment for me about DS2.
I thought they hit 5m half a year ago.
The MPAA actually does go after people who download TV shows.
