I had to run with 0% production and still a -income in 1.3. I had everything crossed that I would get a money anomaly, took over 10 turns. Set me back, big time in the race to colonise the galaxy, really struggling now...

Interesting idea for GC3, perhaps. I would prefer this to terraforming a PQ 0, no one would terraform a PQ 0, easier to build a artifical world. To expand on yr idea, I would say a base built by a constructor, then u could pay for future upgrades. Vulnerable to being conquered off u by a transport or destroyed completely by a fleet. Those bases could be designed to give u unique bonuses, different from the starbases and mining resources already in the game. Perhaps

They have been responded to by at least Cari, so I thought it was a generally known problem by now. Oh well, but now you know about it too. Moosetak13 why don't u make a save game before it happens, so when Frogboy gets a chance, he can try it on one of the many duel core's at his disposal.

U r probably best getting the game from Amazon $5 dollars cheaper, then updating to the free 1.3 patch. I know it seems strange that amazon r cheaper than the developers, but its economies of scale and well, the world is just plain mad at times. The games fantastic and u will be happy u bought it. Perhaps with this bump Kryo or someone else from stardock may give u a fuller answer, but they don't work over the weekend.

Interesting, I think I would take it out with a small fighter. It's only got 1 hp. Then award the fighter pilot a medal for bravery...postumously.

Just want to add my thanks to Frogboy and the developers for 1.3. I am a long way into a gigantic game on suicidal and the games really testing me. The AI is vastly improved over 1.2. The Terran alliance/Thalans/Iconian Refuge r playing a hugely improved game now. It might be me but I don't really notice those small things like the turn button turning green(does it really matter, surely u know when u have done yr turn) and I have not personally had a crash since 1.11. <br

Confused... in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

Eagerly downloaded 1.3 final, actually 1.3036. Then started a gigantic galaxy game which I had been waiting to play with 1.3 final. Played for past 5 hours or so. Now I find a version 1.3041. Whats the difference? Will I be okay to complete the gigantic game using 1.3036 or was there such a quick update because a major problem was found which will stop me completing my gigantic map game? I have had no crashes or any other problems which have stopped me playing GC2

When I heard about Dark Avatar, I was 100% convinced I was going to buy it. With the announcement of the next expansion, I am only 50% convinced I'll buy it, if that. However, it's kinda cheesy. I played the Torian once, and I took EVERY evil-sided choice that came up to me, and I still had to PAY to become a neutral civilization! Look at it this way, u the leader played evil but the Torian race as a whole is very good, so u had to overcome huge resistance from the population to become neutral. Hence paying

Dark Avatar expansion sounds great to me, with large amounts of content and new features. I would compare it directly with Civ IV:Warlords, it is very clear from journals reports Dark Avatar will have considerably more content than Warlords. I visit the civfanatics forum plus others and warlords like a lot of civ expansions has had a fairly lukewarm reception.
