R said it right In my opinion, you're looking at determinism in the wrong way. I wouldn't consider myself a determinist, but I used it as my main demonstration of the flaws in the Bible and why I see it as nothing but a “fun story.” At the core of Christian beliefs are that God is omniscient and omnipresent. This simple believe can NOT “play nice” with the bel

1/ What do you wear to bed ? Nekkid time. 2/ Do you snore, sleepwalk, talk, or do anything else ‘odd’ in your sleep ? It takes me awhile to get to sleep, so I do a lot of repositioning. I don't snore, but my wifey does 3/ Do you prefer sheets and blankets or a quilt/comforter ? Sheets and blankets 4/ Do you have a ‘side’ of the bed or a favourite sleeping positi
People are jumping the gun already about the way this is being implemented. According to what I read and heard about this, it's only being performed on infants that were already dying. They're not going, "Sir, your child might be retarded, or live life with a little pain. Would you like us to kill him/her" It's more like, "Sir, your daughter will probably only survive another day or so. There's absolutely nothing we can do to help her, and she's i
It's definitely an easier and quicker leveling process in WoW than in EQ2.
I'm sad that I read that entire thing
I'm only sad because two companies release new MMORPGs and both "did most things right". I've yet to see anything posted here pointing out any real specific of what's so terrible about EQ2, even though nobody else here seems to like it It would be sooooo much easier if one of the two (EQ2 or WoW) would have just put out a crappy game. PLUS!!!! Unreal 2 keeps remindin
Perhaps there is a marker or something on the mini-map, but I have not noticed it When you get close enough to whomever you have to talk to for your quests, they'll show up as a little yellow dot on the radar.... unless they changed it from Beta of course.
We play on Nektulos I believe. Our names are Reenie and Mulkhay. Yeah, "twinking" doesn't seem like it would be a very easy thing to do. For the most part because you have to have certain levels of skill in abilities like "heavy armour" before you could even wear some armour. I am a level 14 Outfitter though, so I'm able to make a few things. Crafting takes a lot of time though... My wife and I are going to pick up our copies of W
One advantage I have in all these games is that I never have to solo. My wife and I are always playing together. I don't really even like soloing, while she's perfectly content just leveling all the way up by herself. That's one thing she liked more about WoW as well. Like I've said, she was able to solo her Hunter up to a pretty high level before beta closed. So far, she's having a little harder time soloing in EQ2. I played UO when it f
That's how I used to play MMORPGs as well, but I happen to marry a woman with a greater ability to "stick games out". DAoC: 7 level 50's Lineage II: level 17 City of Heroes: 15 (was satisfied when we learned to fly) EQ1: 30ish EQ2: 20 (sure have loved it so far) UO: (never could stand that game longer than a day or so) WoW: 28 (my wife soloed her Hunter into the 40's) I would say the thing I dislike most
The 3 reasons you list for why he may have done this don't matter. The killing of a unarmed, injured man goes against the UCMJ, Geneva Convention and what this country stands for. There is no justification for what he did, and he should face the full consequences of his actions. This isn't quite true.<b
WoW is a better game. To me, EQ2 feels like a very very entry level MMO for newer gamers - or "MMO-Lite" if you will.. I don't know what you got this false impression from, but let me start by saying that I think you're completely wrong <b
Yeah, crafting in EQ2 takes about one billion times the amount of effort it takes in WoW. I think that crafting was a little too easy though in WoW. It was easy enough that there's really no reason everyone shouldn't be a master crafter of some kind. I got my tailor in WoW up to a really high level without ever really spending a lot of time or effort. Because of this, I was never really able to make any money off of this though, because there were
My wife and I are fighting this same battle between ourselves now We loved WoW when we were playing in Beta. We had a Warlock/Priest combo we got to mid 20's. She got a Hunter to like 45 or so. We loved it! Everquest 2 came out, and we've been playing it non-stop since it's come out. We love THIS game too!! WHAT TO DO?!?!? I would have to disagree wi

Yeah, it's really not a pain at all getting your corpse back. When you're in "ghost form", you can run pretty quickly, so even if the graveyard is a long way from where you die, it doesn't take that long to get there. The range at which you can reenter your body is also decent, so you're normally able to reform far enough away from whatever killed you without getting killed again. I think since my wife and I have only been unable to get to our corps
The Internet is a beautiful thing because of it's ability to provide true "freedom of speech." It provides a forum for people to not only speak their mind, but actually have their voice heard by people everywhere. You might think that I'm reaching by pulling out "freedom of speech" in regards to pornography, but I don't believe that I am. You can't have it both ways. You either don't restrict what people say at all, or y

(I'm going with the assumption that we're not going to be rescued, or find a way off the island. Otherwise I would just say that I would bring a boat instead of all the fancy stuff to build a way to get off, or radios to get help with. We're stuck on this island... period) 1. My wife. 2. 1/ what type of salary package and benefits will you be granting yourself ? Given the responsibilities of being "the" world leader, I would get paid accordingly. I'm thinking $200,000 a year would be good enough, but of course all my traveling and such would be paid for. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width=
I'm done with this thread. I had hoped that we could get some serious debate going, and for a while there we almost did...but now I feel like I'm shouting at a wall. I explained why your efforts here are fruitless awhile ago. You "are" shouting at a wall.
British never brush their teeth. Okay, this obviously doesn't fit for the given sterotype that ALL British people don't brush their teeth, but... I grew up in a small village, Westleton, on the east coast of England (East Anglia). One of the biggest differences between all the other kids in to
It's not a matter of just "which way" is accepted as the right way. It's a matter of nature and evolution. It's quite obvious, even to monkeys, donkeys, salamanders, penguins, and any other sexual organism, that one way is right and the other way is wrong. All you did here was show why the heterosexual
