Sorry Lacy, but that hasn't really helped humanity in the past

Okay, here's the situation. It's Friday, 15 minutes before I leave work. I don't feel like "working" on anything. So... here come some time wasting... I used to love these Purity Test thingies when the internet was first spreading it's wings... so let's see if they're still amusing: Your level of E-bore <a href="http://www.e-consulta
1. Agnostic (ist?) 2. Realist 3. Pragmatist 4. Capitalist (Communism allows truely lazy people to flourish) 5. I have to steal MasonM's, "Both. Pacifist most of the time, but willing to defend myself or someone who needs defense." Oh... quick question: I see a lot of people quoting each other and they put a yellow border, and have the text highlighted. How do you do that?
Don't beat around the bush here. What are you REALLY trying to say?
My only "sleeping pill" which works most of the time, is the natural effect a guy gets after he's done taking care of this marital responsbilities
"Clearing the mind is easier than you think. The problem is, a lot of peopleTHINK about clearing their mind which is self-defeating" Well yeah... it's a vicious cycle. Okay, so I'm going to bed... I realize to myself that I need to clear my mind, etc... BOOM! You're already thinking about clearing your mind, and you're screwed.
See how tired I am? I used the phrase, "on the other hand" in almost back-to-back sentences...
Okay... I just got to work, and I sure am tired :( I couldn't get to sleep last night. My wife, on the other hand, has the ability to fall asleep on command. The glow from the bedside lamp normally hasn't even faded by the time her gentle snore can be heard. I, on the other hand, sit there for seemingly ever thinking about completely random crap.
For those of you who don't live in a military world, and might be confused by the hand signals you see the special forces types using on CNN, here's a brief overview of their translations:
Since it was mentioned... I think Zack is right about one thing. Children are WELL known for picking out even the smallest difference in one another, and using it for ammo for teasing and ridicule. Race is a pretty obvious difference between people. As children mature (unless you live in Alabama) they start to finally realize that physical appearances aren't always as important as they once believed.
Great post! There are a few things I'd like to add my opinion on though: I don't believe America is the only place that racism is holding back. I was also in the military, and grew up as a military brat, which means I've lived in all sorts of other places in the world, and racism exists everywhere. It's a stupid thing, but it seems to be human nature to see your "team" as better than the other teams. Obviously, physical appearance is th
Here ya go... now you can be happy. When I thought about what makes me happy, just hearing my wife's voice works pretty well :) I don't know how much of a compliment that would be though, since hearing Brak's (from SpaceGhost) has the same effect.
Back pain is the suck! I get muscle spasms probably around 2-3 times a year that put me out of commission for around a week. Good times
Whoo hoo! Can I be the first Agnostic to reply here? I believe that one of the hardest things for people to ever admit is, "I don't know!" I'm a programmer, so of course I work with lots of other programmers and other random smart people. For those of you in a similar situation, you can probably relate to this... If you ask MOST people how to do something, how something works, or any other question like that, you're bound to get some sort of rambling of what they 'th
Wow, that's a good idea! See, the intenet IS good for something. Oh, and she IS in a giant bowl of pudding. It's chocolate pudding... Hopefully I'll get lots more great ideas like this!
Okay, if you've read my opening article, you already know my wifey is out of town. If not, here's the deal... So, my wife is in the military, and recently got tagged for a 4-6 month trip to the dessert. My wife and I are each others best friends, so the time apart REALLY sucks. We're both extremely bored, and miss each other a TON!! As is obvioius, it's coming up on Christmas, which is going to be an especially fun time to be apart. I'm trying to think of something real
I think it's really "the man" trying to keep us all down!
Okay, so just like everyone else in the world, I took some Spanish in high school. Then after joining the military, I was stationed in San Antonio for around 5 years. Spanish (the Mexican version) is a VERY close second in the race for the most prominent language in that area. I've always been confused about something though... I learned the word 'vamos' meant literally 'we go.' It's the 'We' conjurgation of 'Voy' meaning 'to go.' Whenever they say this in a movie though, they alw
All of these happened in different cities :) ...I live in a different city NOW too, so even my co-workers recent attack occured in a new place.
So, a co-worker of mine finally got into work this morning. He was running late because his truck was broken into last night, and he was calling insurance people, cops, and window repair people. I can empathize with what's he's going through right now, since I've had my vehicles broken into 3 times in the past. I just wanted to share another example of why I believe people suck! Here are the things that were stolen from my cars in the past. Feel free to share
Sounds like a plan... Oh, I could have them go get the people who DO work soda or coffee whenever they need it :)
WHOOO HOOOO!!! My wife and I LOVED that movie! We've actually watched it twice already :)
A blonde?
You need to get some bon bons :) They make everything better!
I'm mostly writing this article right now just to keep myself from blowing up on the people around me in my cubicle... When you work for a living, you are paid to actually work! Whether that's at McDonalds, developing software, or in the military it doesn’t matter. Either way, there is money being given to you to actually perform a task. What amazes me is that some people can just hang around all day and not feel bad in the slightest that they don't do ANY work! In my curr
