I think that the best would be free election monitored by UN, nation building by the UN and security by the UN. I don't see that happening until GWB is changed to anyother president and the whole administration cleared from all the hawk sponsored by oil and weapon compagnies. Even so, I doubt Irak will keep its secularity, in which it was an exceptional, specially in the middlewest.

A bog problem come when you try to make something illegal that is done by a large number of people. In France, it is believed that more than 10% of the population is smoking or had smoked marijuana at least once. It's quiet a significant number. The law in France made them all potentially on their way to jail or heavy fee. Except with this, this people are normal people from every background and often young. They do not harm to anyone except that their money is fueled into underground economy an
The fight for the secularity of school in France has already been waged in the early 1900's but against the catholic that was the main religion. This is a just fight and show the difference of the french republic compared to the anglosaxon way of building communities. In theory, whatever your community, religion, philosophy opf life, you are french, and this issomething important specially in school where you are supposed to build the nation. The problem is that this community is frtom imma
I agree with your arguments, we don't know what's going to happen if the country is left to the different communities if they start to fight each other for their own piece or start a religious republic like Iran. On another hand, if you see the algerian example, elections had been controled and outrageously cheated in order to fight the FIS and GIA by the military. The democracy is still not there and people are still suffering. In addition, I am sure that Bush is not being awaken by t

Sorry a fragment was missing Nice post. I know a couple of people that have LD such as dislexia and are about to star a PhD in Science. I think that when people managing to overcome their disabilities, they did so by developping their own way of learning, memorising and understanding. They can be very efficient. The ultimate education systems would allow you to develop your own capacity with your own way. But it can be quiet tricky for any teacher to implemant these kind of structure.

Boy, never forget the message delivered by the movie Spiderman "With great powers came great responsibility" Few corrections: america began to be really powerfull between the 2 world wars. Less than 80 year. if you compare safety between EU and US you will realised that violence is by far less in EU. The only countries that match US for violent death is China. China who is going to be the next master of the world .... Be ready to see your children lea

Thanks all for your comments, as you can notice you have expressed your opinion much more than me... I will join Solitaire on the point that I have no right to criticise US home policy as I am a foreigner and so I'm not entitled to vote. However, due to their unequalled foreign policy, the US cannot leave anyone indifferent, at least not on this earth. (Soon the moon and Mars...). The reasons I wrote this post are 1) I think that these numbers are unchallenged (otherw
Brad: You are right a lot of individual facts doesn't make an overall true. Still there are facts... Engeeke: As the UK has been supporting US a lot this last 4 years, they might have some right to criticise. As I'm foreigner to US, I don't care about your president. However taking the leadership of the world make the US exposing themself to world criticism.

The whole purpose of selling is to make you buy something you don't need. Everything is marketing and you pay for it. Wihtout marketing most of the products you buy would be cheaper.
