Open OD & uncheck Hide the windows taskbar if you want it to always show I prefer to keep the windows taskbar hidden and use the setting found in dock contents to show running tasks & or system tray ...Note if necessary with the windows taskbar set to hidden you can always access the startbar by hitting the windows key on your keyboard.. .there is also a start menu docklet that you can get from the O

I definitely agree with your suggestion MadHatter...I do not consistently show the system tray because of this issue and I actually only have 4 always showing in my actual system tray...so it is a real nuisance to show all.. all the time in a dock. What happens is you start out with Windowblinds and then develop an addiction to customizing you computer. From there it's just a short step to Iconpacakger, DX and others. Soon you find yourself in front of the computer for hours on end, changing tweaking, modifying....... Then you start having problems with the wife and kids, we don't see you anymore, you love your computer more than us, etc. So now your spending thousands of dollars on therapy and marriage
