Hmmm sounds like your file is read only...you need to rightclick on file folder .. properties..and uncheck read only.. if that doesn't work then you need to show hidden files. Are you using a start menu docklet or using the windows key on your keyboard? Just to test try using the opposite of what you are doing now.. I use XP Pro sp2 & have used it for some time with no issues with either. Hopefully someone will come along that knows. Just had another idea....is your all programs menu set to scroll? Mine is.
