so it seems as i do have to include start menu previews in future.
I'm sure there are other reasons for a preview to be disallowed, I wouldn't hang your hat on this assumption.
of course I used transparent PNGs, otherwise they couldn't do much...
I couldn't assume that based on your post. I have no idea on your level of experience working with graphics. I searched your name before replying.
For Blur, on Windows 7 it can only be enabled on the entire menu rather than on any individual part.
clarificati
there has to be some transparency to the graphic in order for the blur to work. Not sure about WB settings but for skin studio usually a mask works well.
Always thought you were a Master
yea, okay. [e digicons]:-"[/e] It's getting more difficult to offer help as I'm only using the previous version of everything. Hesitate to respond as I don't have Win8. I've been using roll-up buttons on most of my recent blinds and they seem to work okay?
Just mentioning. caption height + bottom height = roll up size. Using a 0 paint margin can create issues, I've found that the minimum paint margin is best at 1.
give it some time to take effect.
I've never heard that Microsoft doesn't send emails. I've been receiving them for years for various things.
and I, on the other hand, receive none, and I'm not subscribed to any either. Could also have something to do with what you do?
(sks7) go to "change skin colors" click on the combo box and select the "show me the defined system colors" and change the "window background" color to whatever. sorry, that was a skin studio response.
thanks for the selection highlight, good job everyone.
I don't think anyone is skinning to XP anymore. For myself, I only skin to Win7 as that is what I use. In order for me to skin for Win8, I'd have to be using Win8 to verify the useability of the skin. I don't see that happening any time soon. As Dave mentioned the button size is what the creator deems it to be. The frame caption size (height) plays into the consideration for button size as well. I want my buttons to fill the space appropriately. Then take into account that
almost posted a thread wondering if anyone had heard from you lately, glad you beat me to the punch.
Our son is turning 14 and we thought it would be a good idea to put him on our phone as an additional line. Well, he wanted a smart phone, which we agreed with, and decided to upgrade ours as well. The two phone upgrades were processed from one location and the new line processed from another. American Express flagged the new line as fraudulently s
I have gone through similar situations twice with no impact to my use of WB or SKS so, I'll venture a guess and say probably not. Glad to see you lurking about, hope all is well.
It's your choice of course however 99.9% (swag) of previews show the start menu.
I'm arguing the point (and have been arguing the point since my first response in this thread), that the fear surrounding this particular product is irrational.
I'm not sure fear is the right word to describe most responses. I myself am not fearful of this product, I find it incredibly arrogant for a company to presume that collecting data without permission is acceptable. Of course we don't really know
Mattel's privacy policy indicates that they share information with their agents and service providers (whatever that means)?
Is anyone aware of any company that has provided customers with something without it being a direct correlation for marketability of the product or profit. There is no reason to believe that Mattel is doing something for the goodness of it's customers only. Based on what companies have done in the past only leads one to believe this is no different.
Much ado about nothing, imo. If you don't want your kids to have access to it, don't give them access to it.
I didn't take the OP to do with that aspect but only how far a company will stoop to infringe upon their customer's privacy.
gosh, I thought it was illegal to record someone's conversation without permission. I'd think maybe illegal wire tapping at a minimum. But, yes, way creepy.
congrats everyone, thanks ID.
never mind, sorry.
Not sure about this, it's been a long time but I believe that you need both SKS and WB for SKS to work properly. Again, I may be in error but I think this is/was true.
bummer Tim. I hope that you'll still be hanging out here. I have appreciated your help and I'm sure the new skinners you've helped feel the same. [e digicons][/e] [e digicons][/e]
Hey Harley, you know I'm still using your Array cursor, best one that I've ever found, thanks.
I didn't see a whole lot for the PC, seemed like mostly mobile. Almost everyone I know says that Win8 hurt PC sales and the cause of MS focusing on mobile and subscriptions is mainly due to lack of PC sales. It might seem difficult for one to screw themselves but it seems that MS has a knack for it. I think it's a shame but I'm only a customer, they don't care what I think. Glad I'm retired, I wouldn't want to try and keep up with it all now a days.
