just an off thought as I have no idea what your problems entail however, the XP SP3 update may cause some issue and you may consider not updating that one. To my understanding, it was a cumulative update with some developer additions thrown in. for me, I didn't need the additions or desire to install all those updates that I had previously declined. good luck.
I can't believe you talk all this stuff about how bad Google is with data collecting and data mining and phoning home when MS and Windows do the same thing.
you're probably correct on many levels. a cursory review of Bing's privacy policy sure does indicate that they collect data in order to provide a better web surfing experience for the user (NOT my words). there is also a statement directly related to targeted advertising. I would also assume that MS will make money
good luck and thank you.
Update: I rolled back my driver on my graphics card and it works great! The new driver is the problem. Thanks for the help!
yep, me too.
congratulations all.
The rest of you all - One of these days Windows will be gone. You will have no choice but to use the next best OS
[e digicons][/e] oh, that's funny. I'm not a big fan of MS but I do use many of their products. I won't want to compare Win3.1 to Win7 however one would think that there are major differences, hence Windows (at least 3.1 and others) are kind of gone. only to be replaced by an evil clone. It will
gotta go with Starkers on this one. I kinda think that people that don't safeguard their privacy as much as they can are only asking for trouble down the line. there is so much data gathered and stored on most people each day already. and while there are those that say it is for innocous purposes/reasons, that could change with the storke of the pen. face it, it's going to occur regardless, the least one can do is to be choosie to whom they wish to share data with. I'm using paint shop pro 7 and X in vista, which version do you have?
What you might try is apply the Windows Aero Theme Using WB, it should change everything, then us WB to change to the skin you want. two things; 1. I'm posting to the thread so that it is in my "my replies" list for future reference. a lot of great information, thank you to all who have posted the info. 2. sniveling - this information will probably never make it into the program documentation or to any wiki page. the lack of appropriate help files is appalling.
get well Bryan, good thoughts your way.
I went ahead a bought a used PSP-X on amazon for $40us. side note; there was a psp7 used being sold for $175, wtf, the program originally sold for about $80. edit: that free one mentioned had a nag purchase screen and some third party reporting add on that would disable psp if removed. the link that was referred to also included registry edits that was suppose to remove both, but worth mentioning.
How about a free PSP 10 ? Heard about that a few days ago :
well, the link target indicates the same thing but accessing the links from "my digital life" directs me to a free corel "mediaone" product. either out of date or bait and switch??? a question or so about the paintshop pro photo x2 mentioned. does this program have the same editing features that psp7/10 has, it seems so geared towards photo minipulation that I'm unsure of the features. are there
a question on versions. I am using psp7 and thought about purchasing 10 on amazon. any thoughts on version 10 or compatability problems with vista
No, it's not the fastest.
thank you, I wonder what we have that is not out for public consumption. talk about wild rides, whoa...
thank you. the tut is made for photoshop (I use paintshop pro) but the general idea is the same and should be valuable regardless.
then there is the blackbird (SR-71) developed in the 50s (I believe) that is and possibly still is the fastest hunk of junk on the planet. went coast to coast with a running start in under an hour. love that plane, very cool. another pointless bit of trivia.[e digicons]O:)[/e]
I seem to remember an article on making round buttons with shine with back lighting within the button. I did a search in the "articles" for "button" which resulted in 531 pages being returned, daunting. this article was probably two years ago. does anyone remember this article or even is there a better way to obtain this type of information/tutorial???
The problem is that not everyone is going to be right in this discussion, in fact there may not even be a yes or no answer. Hmmmm, now what do I mean by that? So far the discussion has only centered on did we or did we not walk on the moon. I wonder if the new google moon shots could clear of this up for the non-believers? those guys/gals are really something, blasting off in space like that. me no way, I don't even like roller coasters.
