I'm using IE8. the rating has shown up, but it should be immediate, right?

I'm giving star ratings to blinds but they do not always take on the first, second, third, etc. attempts. has anyone else having difficulties giving star ratings?
Are there any GOOD broadband companies anymore, or just varying degrees of bad?
we use time warner and while they are putz's, we haven't had much problem with service. I think it's all relative but I would recommend them.
darn, I have a hitachi internal and that's the slowest part of my system, be really nice to just copy everything over to a new hard drive. my external is WD but...
thanks ID, great choices congrats to all.
It's all Tom's fault.
I had to watch this cause I miss the city and this guy (Ken Block) is great, see for yourself.

For whatever reasons, I do check out my download counts. Lately I've experienced some discrepancies and was wondering if others might have had a similar experience. WB: Dark Star; Tuesday I thought I had a download count that was sufficient to make the listing, but didn't. I wrote down Tuesday's numbers and Wednesday it came up okay. Wrote down Wednesday's numbers and even though it should have put DS in the middle of the pack, it was missing. Wrote down Thursday's
ghost light WIP thank you Anna, Cachet is one of my better ones. great technique Andrew.
and let's not forget the business aspect of it for stardock. the more people exposed, lies the potential for new customers. new skinners come from new customers, win/win for everyone.
to me at least, these forums cover a lot of ground of which much does not have to do with skinning. I think the majority of us support the WC side of things because that is the showcase and the programs offered is just as important. The forums, not so much. I have to click to get here so clicking on the "skinning community forum" link instead would be no different. Think of WC as the trunk of the tree with all these other sites as being brances off of the trunk. WC is still supported,
thanks Neil (ribbon state???)
I joined. It's a little bit of a tossup though to how often I might visit but the idea of a skinner's only forum portion is way needed. It would be great if other skinners joined up just to support that aspect if nothing else. Good luck with the site guys, I'll bookmark it along with WC.

I'm using a "caption text background" graphic for the blind that I'm creating and the text background doesn't carry over to the office programs.
ditto what Jim said
a precursor to something with great potential but I'll wait until the holographic monitors come out.
thanks Seth, on both accounts.
I'm not sure about themes as I don't go that route but for windows skins, neither. you can get by with the purchase of windowblinds and skin studio.
just wondering: OEM = original equipment manufacturer. win8 is an MS product and MS would be the OEM. did she mention which OEM she acquired this from? (I mean it sounds reasonable, I'm just curious because I didn't find that referenced in the article) I hope that I never have to upgrade but the, "won't work section" would be enough to scare me off.
I think it's really great that you all come up with these ideas but it seems like just a taskbar with similar features and different interface.
just have very large icons (which I’d be tempted to do if I were running on a mobile device)
can this be run on a mobile device, which mobile OS's is this compatible with?
