Well I got rid of all the SP2 fixes and it still doesn't work. I've also tried tweak XP.

I don't know what program I installed, but for some reason, WindowsXP (SP2) isn't letting me use the welcome screen anymore. When I go to control panel > user accounts > change the way uers log in > check the "use welcome screen" box and click apply, it doesn't save it. Somehow it got disabled. I'm not sure if it's a program that's causing it or maybe a faulty registry error. Here's what I have, if you think one of these programs could be the cause let me know and I will uninstall it and see if
Well....that was just a pciture I found on the web My logon doesn't have "DOMAIN" underneath it, just username and password. Do you think the antispyware is preventing me from changing these settings?
Yes, I do that, but it becomes unchecked every time after I apply the changes. IE I will check "USE welcome screen" then click OK. Then if I check to see if it's applied, it is unchecked again.

I downloaded logon studio and it won't change my logon. It keeps using the old logon style (Win 98 style). Theres no welcome screen. Even when I go to Control panel > user accounts > change the way users log on > and check the "USE WELCOME SCREEN" option, it doesn't stay checked.
