I read as far as 'Saddam threatened the world with nuclear weapons'.... Did he really? Dude, all of those individuals are bastards and the sooner they are no more a better place the world will be, but to class people that have different political opinions to you as supporting them is asinine and quite frankly childish. Lets not forget who bakrolled the first two people on your list, Reagan. Yes times were very different then and so were the enemies we faced but this is

Very funny, reminds me of the time when I was home on Vacataion and sat at a table with 8 or so guys and the wife of one friend when he wispers (in a drukenly loud wisper). L' when I married you you were the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen, you've really let yourself go over the years'. Suddenly the pool table was the most interesting thing in the bar for the rest of us at that table.

It is exactly the manipulation that (I think) lies at the heart of the problem here right now. (well not here as I did in fact leave the country but not for political reasons, just career and lifestyle reasons). If Bush had stood up and said Saddam was a bastard and needed to be removed and pointed out what will happen to the US economy when OPEC swaps the the EURO then he would have had a better support base than he did by stretching the truth the way he did. Some would argue with me o

Yes I had the same feeling watching the game from the opposite side of the world. A Swansea Jack living in the Caribbean watching us put in a respectable performance in a bar full of kiwi sailors (poofs mostly but nice lasses all the same as an Australian friend called them whilst asking me how to pronounce players names). I returned the favor during the final, ahh well bless em, they are only English, after all they have to have something to feel good about. I do think that we

Yes it is a stupid thing to say which reminds me of a favorite saying. There is no such thing as a stupid question, just stupid people that ask questions. Logically of course there is no way such a terrible secret could be kept, not in DC which would be reason alone to put someone off the idea should it ever occur to them. Now saying that I also, in my heart of hearts, believe that his administration would love to declare martial law (and probably every other administration bef

What did happen to the purpose of debate. Wasn't debate about discussing an issue until you arrived at what was most likely to be the truth. I honestly fear for the American political process. Look at the state of the nation today when it comes to discussion and debate on political issues. At the extremes you have the Bush Haters who's hatred of the current President is mentioned in the media daily. The man could walk on water and it wouldn't be enough for some. Not that hatred of the P

I think conspiracy theorists would be more concerend with the electronic voting machines that are going to be used in Nov 04 than anything else. A system that (allegedly) can not produce an audit trail should have us all concerened as should the rather silly and hopefully benign comments by the President of Diebold (a voting machine manufacturer). "We (I) will do everything in our power to ensure George Bush gets the Ohio Electoral Votes". Now that statement was made at his hom

I think that this atricle, whilst well written makes a few assumptions that I see coming from the right. Firstly "More and more I read blogs that just spew so much hatred towards Bush ", this is not a phenomenon that is confined to the dems. Just look at the hatred that the Clinton name brings up and its obvious that there are lots of people out there that simply hate people that have differing views to their own. Thats is a simplistic way to put it but its accurate, this 'hatred' issue
