The videos in question look normal in all media players. Only in Deskscapes is this an issue. Based on the lack of this functionality my only recourse seems to be to make a copy and edit it for deskscapes use only,
Hello, Sorry to hear you are having issues. Have you tried the Effect Feature in Deskscape? ...
yes I have and could not locate a saturation-increase effect, even after trying a few combinations of the ones available. If you can point out the one that achieves this I would be grateful. -thx
Looking for ability to decrease or increase color saturation. On other image tools it is typically a slider that will either decrease color to nothing (grayscale) or increase to maximum color. Deskscapes tends to decrease colors significantly on many of my videos. -thank you.
Thank you Basj for your reply. Please forward this feature request to the powers-that-be. The app already has a 'pause' function, so a 'play previous' or 'play next' feature should be a no-brainer to implement.
Does deskscapes have a skip to/play 'next' or skip to/play 'previous' function? -thx
The steps I did : (CPU activity above normal) 1 - Delete each play list. 2 - Create new playlist and add 1 folder and select 'add folder contents and update for changes automatically' to the new playlist. Steps 1 and 2 repeated for each playlist. (CPU activity now normal) These steps I did in the beginning. CPU issue develop AFTER much time pass. I will monitor and report back if issue reappear -thank you
This app was originally set to EVR (default?). I tried the other two and both were glitchy. HOWEVER, I decided to re-add my previous playlists and the cpu is back to normal (for the moment).
Thank you Basj for your reply and suggestion.
The task called explorer.exe is running higher than normal. I have identified the cause to be Deskscapes. After terminating Deskscapes tasks the explorer.exe task goes down to normal readings. After extensive troubleshooting I have confirmed the cause. I deleted all the playlists I created (4 in my case) and this results with explorer.exe task running normally. The combined size of the files in the playlists total +4GB. All the files are mp4, graphic-intensive, hi-res (1920x
Hello, I have forwarded your problem/question to Stardock Support Team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We appreciate your feedback and patience. Basj, Stardock Community Assistant
thank you - to return focus to the original topic of the unable to uninstall Desksapes, I will accept that the purge/reinstall suggestion will resolve the issue. However, I will make a new topic
... or use the Deskscapes Disable command to Disable it (Deskscapes Screen / "Settings" in lower left corner / Disable DeskScapes).
Thank you for your reply Dave - can you or someone provide the disable command string so I can incorporate it in one of my pc shutdown batch files?
Update : I applied one more troubleshooting step (purge/reinstall suggestion currently on hold) and have confirmed the cause. I deleted all the playlists I created and this results with explorer.exe task running normally. The combined size of the files in the playlists total +4GB. All the files are mp4, graphic-intensive, hi-res (1920x1080 min.) and some are as long as 15 minutes in length. Please let me know if this is a Deskscapes limitation and that I have overtasked the app
Thank you for the reply. I will proceed with the instructions provided. However, I have a 'related' concern. As I was troubleshooting this issue I did several shutdowns and restarts and noticed that Deskscapes would activate at every boot. I searched and confirmed I do not have this app set to start automatically at boot and could not find anything in the app itself to start with Windows(10). How can I avoid this?
I am trying to resolve a recent pc issue. The task called explorer.exe is running higher than normal. I have identified the cause to be Deskscapes. After terminating Deskscapes tasks the explorer, exe task goes down to normal readings. I want to uninstall and clean install Deskscapes to confirm but am unable to unistall. When I try to run the uninstall.exe in the deskscapes program folder a dialog appears. See image. <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/73/84/7
