Can't pin shortcut from Desktop to Start11 in Start8 Stardock Forums

I've got a shortcut on my (Windows 11) Desktop I want to add to Start11. But when I right-click on it, no "Pin to Start11" option comes up. What am I doing wrong?

Change size of Windows 7 Start 11 box? in Stardock Software Stardock Forums

Just upgraded to Windows 11 and installed Start11 (replacing "Classic Windows 7" Start Menu program). Is there a way to increase the vertical size of the Start Menu box? Since (so far as I've been able to determine, in spite of many links saying how to do it) there's no longer a QuickLaunch toolbar capability, I've put shortcuts in the Start menu, but need more space.
