Flavours stopping in 2015 reads to me less as Apple shutting a door than as nobody being able to afford to keep walking through it. I paid for Object Desktop in 2008, let it lapse, and picked it up again this year. Whatever moved on the Windows side in between, somebody was being paid to go and chase it, which is not a thing a one-off purchase funds... I did not think of the subscription that way at the time. I thought I was buying the skins.

Half my old bookmarks are dead and the survivors point somewhere else in Internet Stardock Forums

I set my browser up properly again this year after a long time away, and imported an old bookmarks file while I was at it. Most of the links are dead, which I expected. What I did not expect is how many of the survivors now land on a front page, or a login, or something that used to be a page and is now a feed. The address still resolves. What it pointed at is gone. Nobody owes me a permanent URL, and link rot is hardly news. I just notice that I keep bookmarks out of habit now,

The General page toggle Neil mentioned is the one. I spent too long poking at the per-app options first... old habit from the 2008 Object Desktop days when half the useful stuff lived three dialogs deep. Groupy is new to me this year so I still hunt around a bit.
