I certainly agree with what you are saying in regards to comments guys, allthough sometimes i can't think of much to say, i like to leave comments to let the author know i am reading, but its risky to appear points hungry rather than friendly! I typically leave comments to those whom I read regularly an

As a child of adoption, I hesitated when forced with this option with my later pregnancy at 27. It wasn't that I didn't feel that there were people who were in better positions than me who could raise a child and couldn't have one biologically. Rather, it was about the loss of a culture denied through adoption: my parents didn't have the resources to help when I was struggling to understand my identity. Interracial is difficult, regardless of the suppo
Jamie: That's too funny. Trinitie: Thanks for trying to relate. And I can't believe you called him a prick. BigDreamer: I know what you mean. It's not that I am ticked about people just letting off steam, but there's that line that someone draws just to be an ass. Bulbous: That would be you. Urban Faery: I pretty much see eye to eye with you... just get irritated when some of your good stuff gets lost in the shuffle of tired comments.<
Solution: Stop reading their blogs. Uh... DUH... Maybe I should have been a bit more specific, for those who weren't quick on the uptake. It gets to a point where you don't even have to look at their posts to know what's inside them. The title says it all. When the whole board seems to be cover
Most of the bloggers on Joeuser are great, but the occasional few that are around really make me feel like calling it a day. It's pretty depressing seeing their posts and the negativity they produce, but its getting to the point where it's hard to just say that they have their own right to their own opinion. It is becoming a hate-filled site, unfortunately. I suppose there is not much that I can do about it, except complain in my own, non-hate
I am hooked on the Gunslinger series, but have to admit that I am glad to know that he has finally finished writing the whole series. After the first few books, I knew that I had to see it through, and would be terribly disappointed to not know the outcome of the story. A good writer? He draws you in and can keep you there. It's the better of his writing. (I have disliked a fair number of his books and for the first time in a long time, won't just read
When I was young, I guess about 9 or so, I wanted what all the girls were wearing... white hi-top running shoes called Sparx. I begged. I pleaded. And eventually, after many months of whining, was taken to the local department store to pick out my shoes. There was only a few pairs left... in pink. I had to have them, though
I think that's bullshit, China Cat. There's nothing wrong with admitting to wanting to have someone there for you, with you, thinking of you. I guess the Rev. neglected to mention what he could offer in this scenario, but hell, it sounds like what a lot of other people write about from time to time. I know what you mean, is kind of my point here... but to admit it doesn't mean that anyone could define my sense of worth. I don't think that's what he
NickyG- To really use the name correctly it's got a bit of street thang to it, as in: Yo yo NickyG, word up. It's funny because it refers to the patter that goes on in my B-ball team lingo. And that I'm definitely not street at all, and that it cracks me up when other people out of basketball use it, too. Word on the street is that I'm one mean girl on the court. stopsonadime is a name that I use in email and on another journal site
You choose what you want to reveal the parts of your life to the world how did i miss something so obvious when you were wearing your heart on your sleeve? I see you now with different eyes and i'm not so sure that i can handle your life my vision of you is now blurry when once it was crisp and defined do you even know how i feel when you speak your words to me because if i've misread you
I had a friend who said that he could see lights/hues surrounding people's bodies. He could determine, by noting the colour of the hues, the person's mood, health, and in some cases if they were very ill to the point of certain death. I don't know how many people he told of this ability, but I don't doubt his belief in his ability. Did I believe? I was skeptical, but I am just a skeptical person by nature. Did I believe he showed me as much as he coul
Yeah I agree, keep blogging, keep responding, and keep it up. I looked at some of your articles because of this one, realize that I have read a few, but neglected to comment. Usually, as far as the comments go, I reply if it really strikes me as being necessary. I think the key is consistency if you are looking at scoring points. It looks as if you've been blogging as long as I have, but I think I have three times the entries. Now, I am not a big fan
I checked out your swears, and would have to agree to the pure uselessness of the list, simply because I will probably never meet anyone around here who speaks more than just french, english, and ojibway... haven't yet, anyway. Your letter 'e' link reminds me that my father lost the function of his letter 'p'. He never realized how essential it was even though it's not top at the list of most regularly used letters. television without
"I just want some peace and quiet!!!!" "I'll be peace." "And I'll be quiet."
Thanks. My brother is a teacher, too and has partly been the motivator in this grand plan. He seems so satisfied, even though he is also exhausted and overworked. The after-school programming is cut from most schools in Ontario, but he does so much on his own time and with his own money. The reward is truly in seeing the kids grow.
It's funny/unexpected/nice how, as a single parent, I get offers of babysitting services from friends that I know well enough, but haven't let them into that part of my life. Generally, if I go out on my own, it's when my girl is already being looked after by my parents or her auntie. So, these people that I know so well, are apart from my day to day life with Kole. I generally don't take anyone up on offers to babysit outside of my family. I have a se
It's about that time of year... the new season brings forth the opportunity to look back and make decisions about the future that lies ahead. I have been doing some thinking, but I'm not going to fool anyone, I've been doing a lot of burying my head in the sand, too. I gave myself some time between studies, to decide if it was right for me to continue on. My GPA is high enough where I could feasibly make that jump into even higher learnin
You haven't met me and the girls I hang out with. We don't even have to order. When they see us enter the building they start pouring before we've even had a chance to sit down. They get all our orders right, every time. Oh, and your order comes next, after ours.
God does not exist in my opinion today but on other days I feel he may exist, does anyone else feel this way? I feel this way too, Pete. Or more specifically, sometimes I believe in a higher Being, and sometimes I can't even fathom the idea. I'm very perplexed on the whole Christianity/Bible deal, but h
Oooohhh... doo doo doo doo (twilight zone theme) I just got your email probably the exact same time you posted! I am getting my hands on a digital cam this weekend and will send you some of me and my girl. I'll email the best of the pictures and you can figure out how to post them, because I sure haven't figured it out yet! Thanks for everything... and letting me know that I'm not crazy!
Sometimes I wonder if a feature like Instant Messaging or an email function would be of benefit here at JoeUser. You know, some posts end up being pretty personal and I'd like the option to respond in a more personal way accordingly. Then, I reconsider, knowing that these options are available outside of this site. Thing is, I try to keep JoeUser away from my life outside of the Net... although it is getting more difficult to do. Does anyon
I rated SuperGeek, I absolutely love Harry Connick Jr., I don't like brussel sprouts OR lima beans, but eat broccoli almost every single day. I am aiming to be triligual... I've got English covered, but am studying both French and Ojicree. I smoke in varying degrees of addiction... at my best 1-2 a day, at my worst (and while enjoying pint after pint at my favorite pub) almost a pack in an evening, depending on how long I've been there. I've got a fa
I got SuperGeek. I was actually surprised. Gaming questions didn't do a thing for me, either.
they say that there is no such thing as a 100% Aboriginal Canadian anymore... so far that I can ascertain, it goes back many generations on both sides. I'm from Wasauksing First Nation, in Ontario, Canada.
Not too long ago, I posted a comment regarding satisfaction in blogging at JoeUser. I alluded to being 'not completely' satisfied quickly from the top of my head, and now, in retrospect, want to make ammendments to that comment. The things that I am not happy about JoeUser are strictly from a National point of view. I live in Canada, or, in my eyes, Turtle Island. The Anishnaabe in me feels both a part of Canada and the US since there was no d
