Huh. I just got the message again. Here is what it says exactly: "DL Bradley would like to trade with you, but is busy trading with the Iridium Corporation right now. Would you like to decline the offer, or wait for them to become available?" If I wait, then I'm stuck on the turn since the "next turn" button is not available. Instead, an incoming trade offer is available. If I click on the trade offer, I get the message again, ad infinitum. So now in my game, the Terrans, the Iridium,
Hi all. I keep having this bug on crusade, in all iterations. It happened just now after the most recent patch. I was hoping this was fixed, but now I'm wondering how prevalent it is. I get a pop-up message at the beginning of a turn that some civilization (it can happen to all of them, I think) is currently trading with another civ. The screen asks if I would like to wait until the trade completes, or ignore. If I choose to wait, it never resolves. If I ignore, I cannot have
Godlike is too easy? Wow. I just about survive on Normal. Guess I should have expected that one from someone sooner or later. You don`t happen to be constantly reloading whenever something doesn`t go perfectly your way perhaps?
Oh my, no, Seafireliv. That is verboten. No reloading allowed, as a personal rule. If I mess up, that's on me; learn from it.
I agree on some of this. I've spent a lot of time coding on all these points. The biggest problem is they don't let the AI design it's own ships. I only can choose among the crummy ships that it generates. It's very very frustrating. At some point we will probably write a full on ship designer AI. But that's like a solid 2 months of work.
Hi Frogboy. Thanks for chiming in. Longtime reade
Hi all. Long time GalCiv player, rare forum poster. I really like Crusade. A lot. I've put 339 hours into it, I'm surprised to find out, and am starting another game after this post. But, it is too easy. When I got the expansion, I played on normal difficulty, and then raised the difficulty one setting each game until I was at "godlike." In previous GalCiv games, this setting was significantly difficult to beat. A lot of games I would lose. But with Crusade, I have yet to lose
I HAVE THE BETA!!!!!!!!!!!! woot
hey nice guy. check your private messages for an email from me. I have a thought on this. mem
I like this league idea because it gives me a chance to see improvement and move up to a degree. Let's be honest, I'm not winning any tournament that I enter. But I can win some mid-level matches if I don't noob out, I can progress over a "season" to get myself ranked, and maybe I make a mad scramble at the end of the season to make it to the upper league. Such a setup gives me goals that are within my reach, whereas the tourney format gives me impossible goals. So I l

HAHAHA I can't imagine girls playing Dante's Inferno for a class. It would give your students a better idea of the types of things Dante was seeing in hell but the video game is so loosly based on the book that a student who
Thanks for the comments. To Zen, I have studied our game and copied some of your ub build. I've been mauling mids ever since! But since I didn't last very long in our recorded match, I wonder what you do after level 7!! To Zex, yes I teach Dante's Inferno in the hell class. Glad you have fond memories of that reading. I'll probably add the video game to the curriculum next time I teach it (give students a chance to play it and report on the exper
This is a great thread. I'm learning more about people I see online, which I appreciate. I think I'm the oldest person here, in a community of atypically older gamers. I'm about to turn 39. Computers and gaming have been my primary hobby since 1987 when I got my intel 8086. I've been breaking them and building them ever since, and playing non-stop since Bard's Tale II (the original, in four colors!). Ugg. I'm old. I bought Demigod in ea
We had a short time in the tourney, as was expected. Our game lasted about 20 minutes, and saz/alt were in control after about minute six. We never quite caught up, as alt's rook was way better than my rook. And saz's assassin was porting in with great map vision. Saz and Alt had a practice game going at 12:45, which apparently they were unwilling to leave. They did not show up to our match until 1:33, then took 12 minutes rebooting their computers and getting
(Let's see if my reply is appreciated)
Appreciated indeed. When we lose the tourney, we will record the game and study our shitty play. Or perhaps someone else's shitty play if we get a bit clever. Either way, some studying of shit is going down.
Pacov, please friend my tourney partner manipulon on jeelounge. Then please form us as a team under your clan "teamdg". This way I don't have to manage a clan that has only one team on it. The name of our team should be "scatology". Much thanks, and great erb last night. mem
Pacov, please count me in for the tourney with teammate manipulon. He'll be registering soon.
Still looking for a teammate. Two attempts failed due to scheduling. Anyone interested? I don't want to play with an ai.
Interesting. I've noticed something similar myself. I've been studying my motives for maining occ. I think it is because I know I need distance (ie, not melee, large range for skill use) and a quick escape (ie, butt jump). I need these two things because I am not yet competent enough to survive without them, given the dearth of true noob/mid games. This, of course, reinforces your claim that occ is primitive.
Hello all. Good job In1, Kira, and Pac getting this going. I'd like to be in the next tourney. Saturday is good for me. Should I enroll now in the new site, or wait until the tourney gets put together? And I don't have a team yet.
To All, much thanks for the advice. I've already downloaded the mods, and they made a big difference in my knowledge of my team. Still lost, but did better with the mods. Judicious use of occ's brain power helped my oak and rook teammates a ton. We were dominating. Invalid game state didn't record the win. Then lost to I_Htya and Papa in next game! But that was expected, and I played better than expected. To Nooblet: [quote who="a_no
hello all, especially those pwning me recently. well, I worked feverishly for my first 150 games to get a good stat. It was easy to do because I was a noob, better than other noobs, and I held a 60%. Plus I got some advice from someone (can't remember who, but I think it was whoever I_htya was before the new account) about a good occ build. I was such a good noob that someone accused me of smurfing (I had to ask what that was). Thought I was ready for the mid-l

Hey all. When I used to play demigod, there was a key I pressed that allowed me to pull up a mini-window within demigod. The mini-window was on the lower left side of the screen. It contained data on my movement speed, my damage, my armor, hp regen, mana regen. I'm not sure it was necessarily imperative, but I liked watching my stats during a match. Now I can't seem to figure out how to get that mini-window back up. I've tried every key, so now I think
