Brad, Have not tried to move things over to Sidebar Gadgets, but i will be working on making some of my more requested over. Im working on a replacement for the File Transporter using an ActiveX dll that will allow me to bypass the command line FTP the current one is using. It would be GREAT to be able to change the TRY Icon in a widget/gadget. It would make for things like weather/cpu speed, etc it would be awesome. Imagine a CPU gadget that shows: 40% as the ICON in the tray????? Ir the current TEMP or weather condition, or hell, the phase of the moon. Stardock DX 4.0 Coders.. I use this same setup for the Holiday Countdown Pro, and i read things into a recordset, this works great for me because i can use it like a temporary database. I read the info into the recordset at the beginning of the program. Then any time i need to update/edit/add i can modify the recordset, then with the right-click it reads the recordset as a loop (like above). It could easily be setup to read the entire ini and all info at startup (or at a set interval in case of updates). The

I found mine.. and it does work.. i just didnt like how it re-started explorer, but it has to do that to make it work. I will post a widget/gadget later today.

NP Bichur i thought that i missed this widget a while back when i was trying to make this work. You would think it cant be that hard. But from what i have found out, the way windows hides the icons is to place another version of the wallpaper on TOP of them. This messed me up BIG TIME when i tried to use the Natural Desktop & Desktop Aquarium. I will look around again. There are a bunch of programs out there that do this, but no DX widgets/gadgets..

i tried to code a btn for this, but was never successful. I tried javascript/vbscript but never was able to make a "working" way to hide/show icons on the desktop. If someone comes up with one, let me know! I don't think that linked widget works to hide/show Desktop Icons.

I notice the past week I've had many emails getting through that normally go to spam folder..I thought it was odd that its almost daily now. They are too obvious ...they have attachments with .pfd extensions .....I just delete them but seems odd that the quantity getting through increases each day. Lots of those " You have been sent an ecard " I am getting DOZENS of these a day as well. I would love to find the person that sends this crap and

We are just having some fun with these icons.. I think most of us know how to find out how to know about things like top 100, etc. No one is talking about needing Validation, or being worried. I thought we were just talking about a feature that is on the site, and our ideas on it.
