Oh man, fedoras are way cooler than bowlers. Pooh.
Angloesque
All things in moderation. See, you two aren't doing it for nefarious reasons. That's cool with me. I should've written "...comment on their article JUST to bump it back to the top..." and I've seen one of our infamous bloggers change her title just to knock it back up in the queue. (Aside: I love the word "queue.") Insightful, gee don't I wish. <img src="../images/smiles/smile.g
Muggaz, you'd like the Rama series (I think--I didn't). They're by, um, some guy. Don't feel like looking it up right now. My isolationist self wants to say we're screwing up one world right nicely, why do it to the universe(s)? My imagination says, Hell yeah, baby! I'm keeping house on some distant planet that is Certified Dumb-Ass Free! ^TM. My philosophy says that whatever you believe your afterlife to contain, it will (t
Point taken.
Um, here's a site that tells you what type of hat you wear. I don't wear hats often but apparently my type would be a bowler hat. (See below) One of the nice things about this quiz is that you're not pigeonholed into just one answer--you can mark more than one, which is excellent for indecisive people like me. Qui
SSG Geezer, I didn't say nothin' about animal bowel movements--those are fine by me.
Muggaz, you know I don't take sides (most of the time) and I enjoy reading both you and Greywar. I am at a loss for words. Really. I've typed in about eight paragraphs now and deleted them. I guess the bottom line is that I commend your thoughtfulness and attempts to find the root of the problem--it's more effective than complaining about the effects. I fancy that I'm like that as well, though maybe not so publicly. -A.
XX, dang. Someone's way more creative and much faster than I am about some of these things. Thanks for the link.
As far as I know, we all have the option to not post our blogs in the forums area. I see forums as a place for discussion, and I wager that that's a pretty common perception. Otherwise I'm in total agreement that people should be able to control their own blog sites. But if JU is primarily about blogs, maybe a prominent page should be set up (I know the homepage is sort of like that, but I'm talking about something that catalogs way more than
What the ....? What the....?
Greenland?! WTF, man, I thought you were cool. There's, like, winter there too many months out of the year. The sun doesn't even come up, right? (Yes, I know it comes up in S. Greenland sometimes.) Uh-oh, H is trying to get me off the computer..... kj hiugygjh kj kj help.... kjkg
Yes (she says pompously), hear hear. I will cite the IPSOA from now on whenever I am challenged to find a source for which I am to lazy to dig.
Yeah, congrats. Hell, I've been here since a few weeks after this thing opened (I think?) and I'm still way down in terms of points. (But I am up on most of the gossip.) Cheers. (I'd give you an "interesting" rating but I'll wait until a couple of those articles roll over.)
Gideon: Shocking results.
Ah, good, Muggaz. I hate being hypocritical--I try to call myself on it. (Unless I think I can get away with it.) Messy--nope. But I will go check out your blog, and perhaps retroactively it could be. J/K.
Well I think Australia started out as a penal colony, so the precedent looks good for me. Can I still blog from there?
Drat! And I doubt the FCC keeps tabs on how many downloads there've been, so I'll just whip up some statistics and say about 1.4M people have downloaded it. (I'll put a dollop of that crap on my smoked red herring.)
You are a bumper from way back ?
Yeah...the 12-step program. Let's see. I'll just go ahead and ... put that on my to-do list. Let's call it #11.
Hey Gideon, you're not counting those of us who have, er, legally downloaded it and watched it that way.
Whoo, sorry, had to edit the title there 'cause I realized the H word is a little too strong for some of those categories. Damn. Now I'm being a bumper.
I'm know I'm dumb but what's PT? -A.
This idea is a work in progress. As are most of my ideas, come to think of it. It's actually a spinoff of an idea I had about people on JU, but I'm not stupid enough (or kiss-ass enough) to name names. 1. Negativos. These are the people who couldn't see the light
Okay, here's my recipe for Smoked Red Herring: Take herring out of deep freeze which we also call a "small mind." Thaw with a haphazard-research-driven blowtorch. Scrape off charcoal with a few well-placed slices from an acerbic tonge. Marinate in hate-mongering words for flavor (and response points). Add cliche-studded chunks of articles you've copied and pasted from the context of their sources Hang herring up in a public
I see that citahellion already asked why it says "polpular" on the forums page...is that on purpose? (I seem to share a grammar vibe with cita--very weird.)
