You are so wrong. Actually black men had the right to vote before any woman; white, brown, black or polka-dotted. Bill Cunningham, Republican talk show host, slammed Barack Hussein Obama as being a "hack, Chicago-style politician" which I interpreted as corrupt. The Republican Party of Tennessee had a press release stating "growing chorus of Americans concerned about the future of the nation of Israel ... if Sen. Barack Hussein Obama is elected president o

I stayed with my husband after he was unfaithful to me. It's a completely different situation when you live it than when you are on the outside looking in. At least, I didn't have to share my sad situation with the entire country. I just think that looking at the big picture, I still loved him, I still wanted us to be a family and I thought it was over and wouldn't happen again. It's not as easy to just walk away as some people think it would be.
Happy Birthday, LW! I hope it's a good pain-free one with a well-paying job offer for hubby.
If more parents made their kids feel more valued, it might change their influence on their friends and we might actually make some lasting changes.
That is true and the good parents are teaching their kids these things. The problem is that there are so many parents that aren't. I believe it is in the public interest to educate kids about these health issues at school.
I really do hope you get to show us all the artiistic work you have had published...that would be cool.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/locamama/sets/72157601688003701/ This hasn't all been published but it's a peek at some of my creations.
That's fabulous. Now you'll have to share the after pic. You are both super lucky to have found each other.
heartbreaking
This is also another clear indication that abstience-ONLY education is not enough. Abstinence should be taught as the best option but they should also be teaching about disease and pregnancy prevention too.
I can't wait until the new season of Battlestar Gallatica. I think it starts here at the beginning of April. I have seen seasons 1 and 2 on DVD. I'm hoping for a season 3 marathon before the new season. I'll have to check the scifi website.
Okay my five update I'm looking for a job outside of the home - again. Send any positive vibes my way that I will be able to find a good job with benefits. My husband just got out of the Navy and is starting his own business. I'm kind of freaking about cash flow issues but I'm trying to be supportive. Ack, this is harder than I thought. Basketball season is over so now we get a break from sports and activities for a little while. I just finished
I'm feeling overly large and unattractive today. The thing is that I don't feel like I'm that big until I see a picture and then I am shocked. A friend just emailed me a lovely dose of reality today. I have a tendency to cut too far back and become super bitchy and mean because I"M HUNGRY then I decide it's just better to be fat and happy. I really want to be tiny and happy. I want to wear cute clothes and not worry about whether it's showing my poochy tummy
That probably wasn't your first choice to learn that way. I think we tend to think certain things are "minor" until we experience it ourselves. I hope you feel better.
I love calla lillies. They remind of the Diego Rivera paintings. They are lovely. Did you buy them or grow them?
I read a book called "I prayed for patience and other horror stories".
I'm not tired of it yet but it will be a long eight months until November. Actually, it kind of gets me fired up.
would be kinda 70's just like you gals.
you got it, I was born in the 70's but TW was born in the 80's.
Democrats seek help. Republicans are the help.
yep, absolutely delusional - ha
But I thought all Republicans were delusional?
Don't feed the troll. Okay go ahead, just bite back hard. lol.
Sure you do, judging by your mugshot, you must be snow white, queen of the stud riding fest.
Kurthy, I would assume that you know all about mugshots. Why don't you post yours so we can all look at it and feel better if we're having a bad day? I'll have you know that Miss Tex is a hotty. I know because I met her in IRL. Your jealously of her flawless complexion is completely understan
Hey tova, go get an aids test - how was that? I'm trying to learn the stalker lingo so you can feel special. lol
Far as I know, WalMart didn't write the rules. And if that is to be the standard, businesses should hire noone who receives government assistance of any kind (wouldn't want to subsidize profits, would we?), which would narrow the pool of workers just a tad, say by half.
Okay we're having a chicken/egg debate here. I have a problem with WalMart giving their employees info on how to apply for government assistance instead of paying them a decent wage. You obvi
And you blame WalMart for that
And who would you blame for WalMart paying their employees crappy wages to increase profits while handing them info on how to apply for government assistance? Should the government have to subsidize WalMart's profits?
Unless you are poor and struggling to make ends meet. I would argue that WalMart has done more for our poorest families than any Government programs.
Do you know realize we pay millions and millions in government assistance for Walmart employees? They keep pay low so they can show more profits which wouldn't be such a problem if their workers didn't have to rely on welfare programs to live. WalMart actually encourages their employees to sign up for welfare programs.
Did you know that Walmart, more than any single source, is the reason so many of our goods are outsourced to China? Just remember unintended consequences.
I was joking about us all going to the new WalMart clinics for healthcare. I'm as anti-Walmart as they come. I won't even mention how horribly the workers in China are treated. No thanks WalMart, I've decided I'll pay a little more somewhere else. Every time you spend money you vote for the kin
I had a bad night last night. I have ambien but I try not to take it every night so I don't get hooked. Of course, at about 1:30, I realize I should have taken but I know if I take it at that point I won't be able to drag myself out of bed in the morning. I took a bath, watched DVD's and read a book. I try not to think too much after 2 am because that's dangerous. Why does it seem that the only good sleep you get is right before the alarm clock goes off? </p
