"If you only knew the sacrifices I have made in my life to contribute. For what? This?" Booo...hoooo...hooo... Excuse me while I wipe the tears from my eyes. ! If you actually make sacrifices in your REAL life for this...well, it's your loss.

"Orion and anyone else who is questioning this, can you please address my "what is person A doing" question in a polite and reasonable manor?" I'm not questioning the fact that rating abuse takes place. My only point is that paxx should have kept his mouth shut and dealt with the problem directly, forcefully, and privately. The solution is simple, email the abuser and warn them. If they do not stop, ban them. I point back to my original example about the incompetent

Paxx...why don't you attempt to have the guts to contact the offending user directly instead of making blanket policy? Pathetic. You’re like the boss that has one or two workers that always screws-up or comes in late. Instead of actually addressing the issue with the offending party, they proceed to really upset the innocent/good workers because he made blanket statements or policies and applied them to everyone. Heck, it could be me. I’ve done exactly what you’re talking about once or twic

I have been an IE purist since 4.0 years ago. My favorite WAS IE...until Mozilla 1.4 came out. Right now, my only complaint with Mozilla is it's a bear to skin. It has so many features over IE I just couldn't ignore it such as: 1) Customizable beyond belief 2) Natively skinnable (but skins are a pain) 3) Integrated popup blocking 4) Tabbed browsing 5) Selective script execution and restrictions 6) I can now use the same browser (and s

You're right! rhetoric was not the correct term..."splitting hairs" or "picking pepper out of fly poop" would indeed fit much better. Pretty much that statement is a big "Duh". I guess I should have said "the Iraqi general population that is not part of the government or loyal to Sadam" instead of "Iraqi people" sorry...I won't let it happen again.

Crae: I got it now....retoric...you know the answer to that. If you honestly do not, well...let's just say I gave you a lot more credit than you're due. paxx: Time will answer all of the questions. No argument there. I suspect that several days ago, the population was still too afraid to speak up, and now they have a little bit more of a comfort zone. I have no doubt that it will be a vast majority of the population will be happy about this invasion...but again, only time will tel

> Anyway, glad this war is over. I wonder if > we'll ever know the true number of victims > on all sides. Where do you get that? There's still all the northern cities take. Many, many more people are going to die. My guess is this war is only about half-over. After seeing how sensitive you have been over simple arguments on this message board (the "Brad is a Nazi" thread comes to mind), I can only imagine how this war tears you up. Peace is good. Peace at any cost is not

At work I have a domain with over 2000 accounts. I don't think anyone would prefer the user choser under those conditions. Also, policy here dictates that the last user is not displayed when someone hits Ctrl-Alt-Del. Personally, I prefer the domain login to the cheesy user picker.

> Orion, you may want to go back and read > Jafo's posts about war before you say he is > ignorant. I believe he was poking fun at > people who believe this war is about oil. I wasn't saying 'he' was ignorant in the least. He seems like a thoughful, intelligent person to me. The statement was (and is) ignorant and I stand by that. I don't get around the forums too much, so if I missed an inside joke, oops. If he was poking fun at the bozo's that actually think this, th

>> "Guess they don't have any oil.... " Even a smiley can't hide the ignorance in that statement... >> "The UN still stands by with their >> thumbs up their "you know what" and >> nothing gets done, completly impotent >> and self serving." The term "hit the nail on the head" comes to mind.

"Human shields go home" So we're all watching the news on IPTV this morning and we see a huge "Human shields go home" banner being carried by several IRAQI's in the central circle in Baghdad. We haven't laughed that hard in some time. That should put things in perspective...

Bump...speak up everyone. Let's hear your opinion. There isn't a single person on the newsgroup that wanted this change and they're all calling for it to be configurable at the very least if not completely reversed. With as good as Stardock and Neil are at listening to their user base, hopefully they will add/change this in a future release... Let it out...
