Washington -must- be a Republican. The modern-day Democratic party can trace its roots through a long and twisted path all the way back to the Anti-Federalists/Democratic-Republicans. Since Washington was a Federalist, which opposed the Anti-Federalists, he'd have to be a Republican today to oppose Democrats, their descendants.

The opening video is still significantly corrupted for me, in exactly the same manner as earlier betas. The Issues section of the Candidate Information screen remains poorly documented and nonintuitive. Additionally, issues are still not in alphbetical order. Some candidate qualities seem out-of-date, such as Experience. The cost to win an endorsement is certainly not varying. Additionally, candidate quallities have a porrly docume

Played another game, issues: a) The 'victory' sound is corrupted for me. It (under Win2k) sounds much the same as all the game's sound did back in Beta 1. b)[Edit: Removed known news ticker scroll issue]. c) Windows, such as reporting the opposition gaining an endorsement, would often not appear until after I opened and closed another window, such as candidate info.

I think that might be an issue with the campaigning. I noticed that, after extensive campainging in a state on the issue by Condie, everyone was for the issue. If that is really the mechanism, then I like the feature -- it represents what people start to think if you only present one side of the issue over and over and over again.

Comments on the latest beta: a) I'm still getting significant corruption of the opening movie. The colors are corrupted as before, and I'm also noticing a very low framerate. b) Still cannot alt-tab out/back to PM. Well, you can alt-tab out, but it CTDs when you try to get back in. c) Special Agents that reduce opponent rankings in a state seem to boost negative ones. If opponent has -10 in, say, Abortion Rights, after mov

h.) Now THIS is an odd one...I dont knoiw much about SmartException (I just run it and it seems to work). I'll try and get a fix to anyone that's having this issue. Well, I'm only guessing that SmartException doesn't think polmachine is a Stardock app. It did nothing when PM CTD'd (no prompt)

a) Hecklers are nonfunctional. Instead of doubling opponent stamina costs, they -decrease- it by one. This leads to an infinite-stamina exploit when the candidate moves within the state. b) What sort of cheating do AI candidates do? In my most current game, I noticed the normal-AI Kerry consistently spending $200k+ in the hole, turn-by-turn, without sufficient fundraisers to back it up. At the end of the campaign, the charts showed I was o

1) The candidatae information screen is a wee bit unclear, especially under "issues". The bars are unlabeled, so I have no idea what they mean -- likewise the red dots. 2) Most, if not all, of the starting candidates begin with more points used than are possible. Kerry begins with -12, for example. 3) Interviewers seem likely to repeat questions over different sessions. In the initial game I played, the first two instances of inter
