Click Start, All Programs, then Administrative Tools (or go to the Control Panel and select Admin Tools then select Services) Select Services and look for Desktop Window Manager. If it's not running, select DWM and right click and select Start. Right click again and select Properties. In the Start Up Type field select Automatic. Question: Does one NEED to allow Desktop Window Manager to run under Vista whenWindowBlinds does basically the same thing? With WindowBlinds active and switching off DWM through the task manager, I notice no difference after the screen winks out and returns. DWM uses so much computer resources vs. WindowBlinds 6.3. Is it absolutely necessary to allow this resource hog to run?

CarGuy, I was having the same problem with my WMP. When I opened the program, WMP simply would not work. I'm using WB6 on Vista. I went under settings in WB and chose not to skin WMP. This fixed my problem.

Have you tried checking the dock entry properties? (right click on the IE icon and click properties) Check to make sure the link is the correct entry. If not, click browse button and find iexplore.exe. My properties window shows C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe Nothing in Arguments or Start In. Run shows Normal Window

I sincerely think that if I continue to post here, someone with StarDock might take notice. I'm sure I'm not the only one with the problem. It would be my luck with Symantec products that it turns out to be a conflict in programming with anything that has a Norton name on it rather than Internet Explorer 7.0. LOL

CursorXP Plus works great in any program except IE7. I've installed CXP on a clean system after updating EVERYTHING; graphics, XP SP2, HP updates, the works. I've checked the Microsoft site on custom cursors and drew a blank. I've changed cursor blink rate, hover time and sensitivity in Tweak UI, tried

Thanks for the speedy reply! I did as you suggested and it wasn't checked, however, it still blinks. Between the time I posted and now, I have uninstalled Cursor XP and reinstalled. I've updated Flash player. I've applied the cursor theme through Theme Manager. I've disabled every option in Intellimouse. I'm running the most current mouse driver. For crying out loud, Bob, how DID you fix it? I had to reformat my hard drive and just now got everything up and running after installing ALL updates to MS XP SP2 and installing IE7, graphics card update, etc. I downloaded CXP+ and registered it. Now, in this incarnation of IE, my cursor blinks anytime I move it over IE or in the web browser in Stardock Central. The issue is not the graphics card, nor IE7. Things worked hunky dorey before the reformat, but not now. So help out a fellow user
