Hello world I've been a little quiet of late, haven't I? Life is busy and oft confusing and sometimes the net isn't the best place to air private concerns. Busyness is the main reason for my recent lack of bloggage. You would think that that would result in my having much juicy information to divulge, but the truth is I don't really feel like I have any spesh news to show for my absence. My life hasn't been all mundane though. Today

up with the aussies, muggaz!! i'm a brisbane girl myself. truly is the best country on earth. ... if anyone asks me to say "throw another shrimp on the barbie" again there may be dire consequences (americans are WEIRD). i don't think i've ever been at a barbie where there are shrimps present. however the crocodile hunter IS my next door neighbour and of course i have kangaroos in my back yard. and my pet KOALA BEAR is my best friend </fo

and tegan... i can't remember what my score was (it was way back in grade 12) but i was significantly nerdier than all of my friends, including people i considered like, UBER nerdy. what does that say? hey you already know what i think -- post-school, nerds are cool. up with nerdhood! more power to us!!

Hey everyone This is just a very short post basically to assure you that yes, I am still alive! Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond my control, I've actually been WORKING at work. Go figure. As a result I've been disturbingly productive, albeit suffering Strongbad and blogging withdrawal symptoms. My doctor tells me these will pass. News from the past week or so: last night we went into the Valley to celebrate my sister turning 18. We listened to very funky jazz music, witn

Hi everyone Catastrophe in the kitchen successfully circumvented. I was browsing through the freezer in search of one of my favourite sources of late night snackage (actually come to think of it, any-time-of-the-day-or-night snackage) which I delightedly found in the form of this brilliant icecream with like, caramel swirled around through it... surprisingly enough, named Caramel Swirl, if I'm not mistaken... and an appropriate topping for the aforementioned frozen confection.

Howdy y'all Typing is a little uncomfortable at the moment as my hand is still feeling a little stiff from yesterday's guillotining exercise. It seems bizarre and stupid to me that I am whinging after two days of using a device that I'm sure some people use all and every day. I think there's something amiss in my technique. Hopefully I won't have too many opportunities to improve it in the future. Today has been a cool day. I was concious when it began on the stroke of midnigh

you say you're for celebrating faiths and bringing them into university life. well the Christian faith (at least as i understand it) says that Jesus is the ONLY way. so for them to be saying it is "Absolute Truth" is in line with their beliefs and less would be a compromise. just because you're accepting of other religions doesn't mean others are too... because for some people (such as Christians in my view) religions are mutually exclusive. so i don't think you can expect people to hold this be

I'm sorry I misjudged you, creampuff. You thought I was talking to you didn't you? Well think again! You're totally hotcakes or muffin, not creampuff. What I was going to say though in my affected, roundabout, misleading, wannabe-literati style before I interrupted and gave myself away was that I never really liked cream buns when I was a kid. It was probably mostly a psychological thing: there was either too much bun and not enough cream, or what I really wanted was an icecream but I

if there are things you want to say to me then by all means say them. in some ways it's hard for me to know whether i should say if it's ok for you to put the blog up or not because i haven't read it. and really, it's your site and you should be able to do with it what you want. however the fact that you considered my feelings is very much appreciated. i guess what i do want to say is that if my being able to read the entry is going to make it harder for me to guard my heart,

hey jilluser i've never used slimfast before but i do know that they're very high protein and low carbs. well carbohydrate is the only energy source your brain can use (it can't use fat or protein) so when you cut down on carbs, especially dramatically as you have, it's going to leave you short-tempered and possibly even a little dizzy or light-headed. i'd be adding some fruit or something so your brain has something to feed on.

Hi everyone Well I'm BACK, baby, back with a vengance! Truth be known, most of you probably didn't even know I was gone but trust me, I was. And now I'm back. As I just stated. Moving on... To clear up past business, let me expound briefly on the statement "Post-school, nerds are cool". It's something that has been brought to my attention repeatedly since I left school and it only seems to be getting more true. That people who were nerdy and uncool when they were at s

hey scotty you star yeah i think i remember you -- your tent flooded didn't it? thanks for posting a message and no, you didn't make a fool of yourself. i would have been totally cut if i'd discovered (somehow....) that you'd come to my site and not left your mark! hope all's well with you and your mate who stayed with us too. we'll probably see you at another gig sometime -- be sure to come up and say hi! Teegs :)

Yeah baby, yeah! All's cool in the land of Tegan tonight. Nicely set up here now but what I'm really missing is music. I'm trying in vain to get the uber-cool looking playlists (Killer Queen! I haven't heard that for waaaay too long) in media player to work but to no avail. How frustration! Wait a minute, I'm going to get my cds. It's just too quiet here. *gets up, rummages around for a few minutes, flicks through woefully small cd collection thrice, wrestles with drives, spea

Hey ya I think my brain may be empty. Normally I don't know what to write about when I first sit down to do this but within a few seconds a sentence or two comes to me and it all flows from there. Today though my mind is a blank. This may have something to do with the fact that I'm incredibly tired. It's a sad day though when you're tired after going to bed at 12 and getting up at 8. I think I'm getting old or something. It's also stupidly hot outside, so much so that I ha

i've just been watching homestar runner and i have tears in my eyes from laughing so hard. to tell the honest truth i think i may like it better than space ghost *gasp!* but maybe i've just had more strongbad/hsr viewing experience. the moral of the story though is strongbad et al ROCK

Hi everyone, just me again The storm's passed and it's boringly dark and quiet outside now. Despite their destructive properties, I love storms. They're exciting. What is it about natural occurences that make them just as watchable (if not more so) than your favourite tv show? Think about how you can just sit for hours watching a fire burn down or how incredible it is to watch the colours change and move in a sunrise or sunset. Last year when I was down the coast with some friends I s

Hey there This is about the third time I've gone to make an entry in the past 24 hours and my plans have been circumvented somehow each time. I've overcome my problems now though -- feel free to congratulate me -- and am now trying to write something before the thunderstorm that crashed around us before decides to come back to terrorise us a second time. It's been an eventful day and a half in a bizarrely non-eventful kind of way. In that I mean that a lot of little things

amen and amen, waynestar, the gig truly rocked. halfway out were kickin' it ROCK STEADY and the others weren't too bad either. other highlights of the night you neglected to mention included watching Random Drunk Guy try to kung fu a bouncer before turning on you with a severely limited vocabulary. good times.

Hey everyone As a follow-on thought from yesterday's expoundment on my time at the gym, I've come to the conclusion that exercise can severely endanger your wellbeing. I know everyone craps on about how cardiovascular exercise and building muscle can prolong your life, but they're wrong. I know this for a fact, because the class I took at the gym today nearly killed me! I did a pump class which involves a lot of lifting big heavy weights lots and lots of times (when you're

Hello everyone, It is my pleasure to announce the birth of Caleb -- congrats to my pals Rin and Andy on the birth of their second son yesterday. It's widely agreed that he's a cutie, though huge! Apparently he was 9 pounds 2 ounces when he was born, but as I know very little about childbirth and babies, I'm taking everyone's word for it when they say he's a little sumo. <img align=absmiddle width=384 hei
