oh, now i've had a better look at this list i'm kind of wishing i was born in either... mid jan to mid feb: "land down under" and "africa" mid to late april: "come on eileen" or late august to early september: "sweet dreams" all songs i really like! and now i've started thinking about them, i think i'm going to have come on eileen in my head for the rest of the afternoon.... thanks trina

see the thing with this quiz is you can end up getting lumped with a song you either don't know or hate because it's based on the year you were born (read: music listened to by your parents or people with boofy hair and leggings). for example, i love varns but detest the song "don't you want me baby". on the upside though, i quite like Flashdance (what a feeling). i'm honoured to share it with you and rin, trina... go the angels <img src="../images/smi

why is it going to be really good very soon? when you started naming all those jams before i thought you meant layering them... ditzy no toasters eh... we've got one and a kettle and mum goes "tell EVERYONE otherwise you'll end up with 15 of each". somehow even three toasters would be better than three stick blenders (i remember that too). oh gosh i remember andy and rin's toaster -- it was industrial size, you could toast about half

suz i've just read these last two posts from you -- good to see you back again. i want to tell you i think you are an absolute, 100% legend. i think it's brilliant that you've got such a great attitude about everything that's happening in your life right now. i'm sure every person you talk to has some advice for you about what you should or shouldn't be doing, what books you should be reading and all that.... i just wanted to say good on you,

Somewhere in the world today, someone (or more likely, lots and lots of people) is having a birthday. Fortunately for me, one of those happy people works in my office. So we get cake! Let me tell you, few things brighten a potentially dull workday and line arteries with saturated fat more quickly than a mock cream-encased, refined flour-enriched, artificially coloured

hi -- i only just read this. it's weird, but i've been thinking about you these past few days... life's funny like that, isn't it. i get where you're coming from with the small talk thing. small talk doesn't bother me too much but i can see how it can drive some people nuts. from my perspective, sometimes its hard not to make small talk when the other person doesn't volunteer any non-small talk-related topics or you're left talking about yours

yeah probably, she was younger than all the others. hehehe do you think the piano's possessed? my cousin has something like that (not quite as cool looking as elana's) that will just begin playing a tune when you haven't even touched it. it's scary!!

some kids are terrified of clowns, and fair enough, with all the coloured afros, big floppy body suits, those enormous shiny shoes and opaque makeup... not to mention the squirting flowers etc -- who needs horror movies when you've already got all that? however, i met a little kid once who was about 3 who LOVED clowns. he was obsessed with them! he would beg me to draw picture after picture of clowns and all his toys were clownesque.... weird....</font

Happy Monday morning, everyone!! The week has barely begun and already my radness is coming to the fore. Just then, one of the ad reps came in here (the room where we rocking journos work) asking whether anyone was afraid of spiders. There was a big huntsman spider in the kitchen and she was too scared to kill it. Now I don't like spiders, but I'm not frighte

toblerone, you are (one of) my hero(es). i'll definitely be taking your undies de-moistening advice and may even throw a little personal strangeness in there, just to keep life interesting. as a wise person once said.... "Tegan is, indeed, the raddest chick in the entire universe and possibly even South East Queensland"

trina: after writing this i went to your blog and had a nice little read-fest. sorry for jumping to conclusions inbloom, shovelheat and bjwbell: thanks for stopping by. obviously you're still keeping this site fresh and kicking! i initially used this site as a journal but as i began to get to know people who read my blogs better, i began to self-censor. now i work that takes up a lot of my time and attention -- and i'd hate for my boss to some

None of my favourite bloggers post anymore. Myself included (yes, I love my own writing). I don't get to come on JU much anymore but when I do it's a little disappointing. Mignuna's stuck in a cornflakeless New Year's Day. Floozie's still ranting about being single. Trina and Elana only just got over a bad wake-up from weeks ago. Keolin's been spouting the "communicat

trina: it's not a secret! almost everyone knew it was coming anyway, and while i don't want this to be an impersonal way of people finding out, we're not going to pains to conceal it until we've told everyone like we did when we first got together. feel free to tell all your friends! toblerone: thanks for stopping by and for your good wishes. i definitely agree with your phrase that the marriage is the most important aspect of all this engage
