We just had a Texas blow-up. We get these hard thunderstorms which appear out of nowhere, rains flood the streets, high winds knock down branches, and then disappear. Blue skies again. Yesterday one of those took the temp from 100 to 73 in 20 min. Pretty intense.

Sponsored by Reps. Howard Berman, D-Calif., and Howard Coble, R-N.C., the measure would permit copyright holders to perform nearly unchecked electronic hacking if they have a "reasonable basis" to believe that piracy is taking place. I ended up finding out about it by accident. I upgraded the little app which checks for updates and such. I didn't realize that MS had added this little goodie to it. iirc it was trying to update my video drivers as well. I was able to stop it before it did. Freaks!

Win2K now has that ?feature? It just seems really arrogant of MS to assume that *they* would have the best whatever and then just dl and install it without saying anything. That option should *always* be turned off by default. I agree. **$%**^**MS! >

Couple of things.. You can make DX object to control winamp using the DXplayer plugin. Works very well. Go to www.pixtudio.com to get the universe metal winamp skins. (I think they are free)

Use all 3 regularly..love em all. Quick Notes seems to have a problem remembering my font settings. Using the UI or editing the .ini, the silly thing still sets my font size way too small. Would never think of giving it up though. Looking forward to your artwork JoeTheBlow...

The problem is that these boxes, being sold by WalMart, are being targeted to home users. 90% of the time, folks will buy these computers and won't realize what Linux is. They will be expecting some kind of "Windows" box. They will take them home, set them up and say stuff like ... "well this doesn't look like Uncle Berts' computer..." I just don't think that this is going to be a very positive experience, which will set the linux movement back a few years. <A HREF="https://www.wincu

I really can't believe that they would be so bold as to really try to enforce this on any large scale. I 2 years it won't make any difference. C-Rat...I'm from Texas too. My first reaction was to . I don't think he meant that as a serious jab. Right DavidK <A HREF="https://www.wincustomize.c

#1. Are you using the player within a DX theme or DX object? Or stand alone. #2. What is your color depth? Try going to DX Settings >Advanced and play around with some of those settings.
