Another great article! My nephew, very proud of his years as an aprentice and his journey tool & die maker certificate, now has trouble finding work in his profession. Politicians should sit up and take notice. I'm considering emailing some of them to invite them to read some of your articles, actually. :)
I love it! You are good at this. I bet the kids love you. :)
The way the country felt during those days is actually about the only thing Bush has going for him with the average American. We were the United States of America during those days. We did not for a second hesitate in rushing aid to those people in need. We were determined to protect and defend our land. But how much of that was Bush and how much was of it was the citizens? This is a good question and I absolutely say no.
I don't have a lot of hope about it setting an example for the male trials. No offense to men, but some things don't chance. A female in business or expressing an opinion is often thought of as arrogant and often unliked. I like your point about the tax payers money going to prosecute these people. I tried to make the taxpayer point about prosecuting CEO's and such to someone on a blog about losers. I'm not justifying any crime she has committed, I'll
I take the same view with America- learn its roots, don't forget its beginnings, and try to appreciate the way it currently stands. I love my country and can never forget it's roots. And in loving my country, I will continue to raise my voice to things I consider wrong, I will continue to
Question: What does a Sequoia usually die of ? They usually die of getting top heavy and fall over Question: When was the last time a Sequoia fell down in your park ? Three trees have fallen over in 1999.One fell over a couple of months ago, but only half of it fell. Question: Does the Sequoia tree have any natural enemies? They don’t have many. Some are fungus, bugs, animals, and humans. Question: How many pre
Putting my two cents in again...... "It is important that you all understand that we at Sequoia ForestKeeper are not against post-fire restoration, just the cutting of large trees in the name of forest rehabilitation. Scientific studies have found that restoration is much more effective and has less of a negative impact on species if smaller trees, 15 inches in diameter and less, are taken out after a fire." http://www.sequoiaforestkeeper
OK, where have you gone to stevendedalus?
I'm Cherokee and Irish, proud of both, but definitely feel the Cherokee blood the most. My father was Cherokee. I'm from a band that hid from the Trail of Tears. We ended up in encampment by the Kanawha River, but all ended up going their seperate ways. There used to be a reunuion we went to when I was little in Hancock County. A bunch of the women smoked corn cob pipes. And I'm rambling, huh? :) I think rambling hits when you reach 40.
Oh, I love Norah Jones! I've been thrilled to see her popularity growing.
I only missed commenting on this one because I read 7 and 8 together! I like your ideas. I like that you did this. Any that I might not personally agree with, I'll write a blog. ;)
funny stuff. :)
I hope that both of you are right, that he's going down. And you right, eight gates, I'd cry. Gorgeous picture, can't you see nymphs dancing around them?
This is an extremely good story. I felt her desperation, her depression. This is really good.
Suspeckted - I was just in a grocery store where a little group was gathered discussing you, no worries, you are being talked about! Now, on two side issues, I've lost the one who talked of putting poetry on their site, do you remeber who it was and when did this all this pirate stuff start and how did I miss it all?????
I love your ideas and how I would love to see the candidates respond to each of them. :) I thought for a bit of inviting them to spend a day with me, but I'd much rather now have them read you. On a side note,my sister has written her guest article that I'llbe putting up later. I thought it would be more her STNA work and the immigrants, but it's a good article.
I hate shoulding on people, but you really should. I have read all but the new number 8. You have good ideas. I'm going to 8 now.
But wait, you mean you WEREN'T writing these just for me???
You know, I don't think so. I might be the main one commenting, but I believe others are taking it in! I've noticed this about some bloggers. They get read and here and there in other blogs, respect and admiration come out. You happen to be one of those bloggers!
Seeing a Sequoia in person has always been one of my dreams. I can't imagine standing beside such a tree. The combination of cutting down these awesome trees and the cost to tax payers is a SIN. The fact that is quietly and calmly going on is a SIN. The fact that a blogger puts up a blog that Sequoia's are to be cut down at a cost of $34 million dollars and there are only two responses is a SIN. Where is the outrage? Where are the cries from the taxpay
sam- Oh, there are plenty who care and read. Plenty who want to know. I thank the Wahkonta Anathemas out there.
See, I knew I was right about thinking you should be president. :) Have you sent any of these ideas of yours to anyone?
None of these are really radical ideas and between reading your posts here and reading your web site, I find it hard to believe that I've not heard of you before this. I love your elaboration on 8!
