Community by community living wage laws are passing. The people are choosing them. Living wages are not picked by and forced by the government and will vary from area to area. The living wage for Mt. Vernon Ohio will be different than for Santa Rosa California. Yes, I will stand behind my convictions and give a living wage. http://jim-wisefawn.joeuser.com/index.asp?AID=25169 Link <br

I was coming here to tell you that I understand how much words can sometimes hurt. Ther was a time on here that no matter how hard I tried remain tough, I'd have my sister check my blogs first because sometimes people can be so cruel. I'm still here though. You are still here. I don't know what you guys are planning to do, but I do know that this can be taken way too far. I don't condone his comment and I told him it was cruel, but I also kno

I enjoy quiet, calm Birthdays too. Mine was this last Saturday. My daughter made me her famous lasagna! It is supposed to be your day to celebrate as you'd like. I hope they listen to you!

I agree that there is no single, simple approach! I think there should be a healthy mixture of all, including government. At localfood pantries, they rely on donations and government grants. Unfortunately, the grants have been cut so much and the lines are very long. I think in order for anything at all to change, the first thing would have to be people's perception of the poor. And people's denial that there is legitimate need. Good article.

What a neat test! I'm Apocalypse Now. If anyone sees Wuthering Heights, I'd sat see the old, original version. Nothing like it. If I were to pick my own, I'd say I am Now Voyager.

Oh please. In the first place, you did not write an article, you made a long comment. In the second place, I made a comment about your draft thing, but Richard's article isn't about that. I find myself feeling very disgruntled with conservatives tonight. Yes, all of you. I'll make my statement here for all of you...I'm not Anti-American nor am I in sympathy or cohoots with terrorists. I research, and check facts all of the time. I am not hate filled be

lol, I think I do not need to respond. The fact that you attempt to blow away the factcheck about her, but then like and quote the one about the draft, speaks for itself. stevendedalus- Great article and I hope to hear soon that you safely rode out yet another hurricane.

There are so many good reasons to not shop there, but this would be the number one reason!!! I hadn't been to the Anti-Defamation League site for a bit and was unaware of this, thank you for posting it. It's something we should know.

MadPoet and I write. I won't discuss his personal life or his reasons for leaving. He is OK and as sweet as ever!! But I miss him being around. I've been wondering about PoetMom too. And Gerry Attrick and several others.

"False allegations about Kerry's wife have been circulating for months, but the velocity of the Internet "whispering campaign" picked up substantially with the approach of the Fall campaign." These have all been proven to be false. http://www.factcheck.org/article.aspx?docID=224

Interesting article. Of course, I don't agree. This has led to a scenario where, in poor urban areas, the hospital ER becomes the primary care physician. This kind of scenario has to be more expensive than doctor's visits. Insur

Good article! This is not an OK thing for America. Our government is giving the standard vague answers. Muslims are wanting the aswers. The best thing that can happen is an apology from the US and the offer to enter, if he ever chooses to do so again.
