Start menu and taskbar wtf?? in WinCustomize Talk WinCustomize Forums

Ive alwasy come across these CRAZY and WILD looking editors for windows, all flashy and crazy. Im looking for some simple changes in the start menu and task bar. Possibly a way to modify the taskbar so my minimized windows take up very little room down there, or possibly editing the start menu. Ive used resources hackers to edit explorer.exe but its still really buggy, never comes out right. If anyone "has completed this task of editing the startmenu to there fullest satisfaction or the task
