I am now on my way to Baltimore after a rather annoying delay at the shipper. I was told that there would be three of us picking up at 7:00am. I was there on time and when I rolled through the gate I saw that there was only one other truck sitting there. It was a driver I know and have run with in the past and after I parked my rig I got out to talk with him. We shot the crap for a while while waiting for the folks working for the shipper to get around to load
Happy Belated Birthday! On your day, I was actually down in your old home state - Surf Fishing with my brother! I caught a nurse shark and that made my day! One of the younger children, when the judge said his name was now "Phillip North Beardsley", turned to Tim Mattheson (his older step brother) and said "I am legal".
Ahhhhhh! Ok, now I got it. Been a very long time since I have seen that one

This evening finds me in Greencastle, PA. I hauled eight elevator cages from a factory in Wisconsin to a wind farm under construction on a mountain top in Middle-Of-Nowhere, PA. The original plan had been to deliver the cages first thing this morning and then come down here this afternoon to pick up some crane parts for a customer back in Wisconsin. That plan was tossed out the window as I wound up blowing half the day at the wind farm. A piece of advice, if you need to
I went over to the motel bar for a couple of cold ones. While I was there a couple of 20-something guys came in and ordered beers. I noticed a couple of 20-something girls out by the pool. They looked pretty attractive. I nudged the guy next to me, one of the 20-somethings who had come in earlier and pointed to the girls by the pool. He said that one was his sister and the other was his cousin. Ah. I asked him which one was his sister and he said it was the tall blond. The oth
This morning I went over to Denny's for breakfast. They have a special deal where you get a free Grand Slam breakfast if it is your birthday. Hey, if it's free it's for me. This evening I went over to the motel bar for a few brews. It was a pleasant time. I chatted with a few people, including a guy who is running a mountain bike race tomorrow, as well as a couple of less than ugly young ladies. All in all, it was ok. Yesterday I went over to Tampa and bought myself a birthday

Those are the best ones, written in the heat of the moment, showing the persons feeling as if standing in front of them. As much as I enjoy a well written article that was done in a few days, spellchecked and reread for grammar errors and such, I still think on the spot, heat of the moment, true feelings articles are great because it does what most articles can't do, show the real feelings behind the wo
I totally macked on Mason's title. But this little rant was brought on by... condescending remarks/articles about the foibles of religious debate..
Ah, well choice B it is!
then why did you delete it?
Because I re-read it this morning after sleeping on it and decided it was just a rant that didn't need to live on. Sometimes just writing something is enough to get it off your chest. Besides, it was very poorly written anyway.
Does this have something to do with Mason's blog?
A. If it does, then this article makes no sense at all in that context. The article wasn't about anyone or anything here at JU. It was about some jerk I met last night. I was ticked off that he ruined an otherwise enjoyable evening, not just for myself but for a few other people as well. B. If it doesn't, carry on!
Must have been a doozy.
Not really. I was just pissed off at a religious jerk who ruined what was an otherwise enjoyable evening.
There's nothing in the bible about aliens. I don't disbelieve or believe there are aliens.
There was nothing in the now deleted article about them either
Hello, as you said violence is practice in the name of religion, not generated by religion itself. some people just want to control the earth, get money, kill people. their aims are material and they hide it in the name of religion. Religion is innocent of what people do. have a nice time!
It's as good an excuse as any for killing other people.
We are Human Beings, dammit! Citizens of planet Earth! Fuck all this bullshit ideology bullshit. In the end this crap just doesn't matter! Quit the stupid killing! You know, I'm a big fan of most of the Star Trek series, what fascinates me the most is the story line behind how we (the human race) finally put our differences aside and became a unified world. All it took was a war that killed millions, or was it billions, can't remember w
