Ah. Re-reading kingbee's layout of the timeline. Misunderstood the first time I read it. (Ok, skimmed it) If that timeline is accurate, then the law did, in fact, come after the case and so would not have applied. Seems that perhaps it would have to be considered on appeal though, wouldn't it? I'm no lawyer so not sure about that one. More information does help. Seems he asked, was told no, and then did it anyway. In that case, I woul

think of them as "sensitive" folks who can't get survive out in the "wilderness" of society and are kept in closed groups for their own safety. Zoos for the anal-retentive. My favorite quote of the week. I was actually wonderin

I run into these sloths all the time. I have a naturally deep voice so nomrally a simple"excuse me" gets people's attention as my voice carries quite well. If the first "excuse me" doesn't work, a second, more forcefull one with an associated even deeper drop in pitch will do it. If they still impede my path, I am not above simply knocking them out of my way with my body with an angry glare straight into their eyes as I pass. This usually wake

Cool. I just found a posting for a job opening for an experienced technician to work on the electronic equipment on the Goodyear blimp. Sounds pretty cool. They were looking for someone with knowledge and experience in all manner of tv, radio, microwave, avionics electronics. Fits me to a T. Just emailed my resume to them. I think that it would be a pretty fu

I have set up two partitions on my laptop hard drive. One is a small Windows one, and the main, bigger one is Linux which I am running in at the moment. I really like the Opera browser in Linux because it's so much faster. Unfortunately I couldn't get logged into my JU account in Opera. Very strange. When I switched to Mozilla browser I had no trouble at all.

My laptop has a problem in the powering circuit. Most likely a bad solder connection. If I just bump it or move it the wrong way it goes dead. No power at all. A few months ago it crashed and looked like it would never power up again without repairs. I set it aside and hadn't bothered with it since. Well, now that I'm getting ready to move I decided to give

or shut up This is the sort of statement that is in just plain bad form. Saint Ying, what right do you have in an open forum to tell anyone to "shut up"? Whether you disbelieve what I say, disagree with what I say, or whatever, telling me or anyone else to "shut up" is uncalled for and down-right rude

A fine example of how judges are trying to make law instead of supporting or enforcing the law. The state legislature enacts a law that not only specifically addresses this specific case but is actually named for this specific case, and a judge completely ignores that law and rules that the law doesn't apply to this specific case? It isn't the role of the court to usurp the role of legislature. This judge should be removed from the bench for failing to

usually I would tell the cig-nazis to jam it if they started to dig in. I know what you mean. One time a few years ago I was sitting at the counter at a truckstop,. The counter was the smoking section. They had a nice big non-smoking section across the room. This guy sits down next to me a immediatel

My "conjecture" is based on persoanlly aquired facts. Even if terrorists did have camps in the desert, away from Baghdad, would Saddam have been willing or able.... Do you think that a leader such as Saddam would have allowed trespassers on his soil? Get real. He had the largest army in the M

They had a STRICT set of rules governing their community that they ENFORCED Ah, but you missed the point. They didn't have a rule against it. That really is the point. They decided to MAKE a rule against it after the fact. A judge decided to back them on this. THAT is the real point.

I don't see why the flagpole would be an issue. Sorry, maybe I have different sensebilities (sp?) than others but I just don't get i. I don't like when people try to play the patriotism flag to claim victimhood Just what the hell does THAT mean? I'm sorry Brad but that statement deserves som
