Sally, to tell the truth, the only reason I am regretting writing these now is because either nobody is reading them or nobody felt they were worthy of comment. Other than yourself, of course. I shared a very deep, private part of myself and, well, enough said. I guess I was kinda hoping for some sort of response that I didn't get. I'm not sure why I even care. I guess because it's so much a part of me.A part of my soul. Ah, never mi

Not at all Sally. I'm sorry if I gave you that impression. I guess it is difficult for me. I didn't mean to make you think I didn't appreciate the comments. I really do appreciate it. It's just...well...for me I have to keep reminding myself that it is just another physical illness. I never had any empathy for people with depression until it hit me. Probably, well not probably, definately, because of my father. It was very hard for me to accep
I read about this case. It really is a sad thing. You want me to take down my flag? Come and tell me to my face! And, you'd best be prepared to take it. I was wounded in combat serving my country. I had my friends die beside me. I won't take down my flag even if a court ordered it. If you don't like the American flag I shed my blood for, live someplace else. As far as I'm concerned, screw you.
I thought her to be weak I felt the same about my father. I felt the same about myself for a long time until I realized it was a real illness. Would we consider the person who has cancer weak? Thanks, but it's just a disease. One I happened to survive that a lot of people don't.
Actually, by law, when you are on a legal break you are relieved of duty and your employer has no legal right to dictate what you can or can't do on your break. Some employers have side-stepped this by making smoking forbidden on their property which they can do. But an employer can't dictate to an employee what they are allowed or not allowed to do on a legal break. Forbidding alcohol consumption during working hours is allowed by employers s
Pete old boy you really crack me up sometimes
Remove tinfoil hats NEVER!!!!!!
Geez if the good balances out the bad...MAN am I due for a helluva good time!!!!!

You are inspiring I can honestly say that I have never been accused of that before. Thank you, but you really wouldn't want my life. Come to think of it, neither do I.
I suppose (from an American perspective) it's because Australia and the US are close allies. Beyond that, I'm not sure. As I commented in a thread by Mugz, I never realized that Australia is influenced so greatly by what happens here in our little corner of the world. It's true that the US is a dominate entity in the world, so that may play some part, but it's most likely (IMHO) because the US and Australia are so closely tied. We do
Proud? No, I don't guess I am really. That's one of the things I had to give up to be healthy again. does sharing this bring back bad memories? Surprisingly, no. Those memories are always with me. Every day. Now I see them as just something that happened to me that I have to be careful doesn'
Thanks Sally. There was a time in my life when I wouldn't have accepted help from anyone for any reason. Of course, look where that got me.
Sally; your comments were honest and sincere. How could they possibly offend me or anyone else????? If you would like a little peek inside what it is like, read my artilces The Fog I and The Fog II (or something like that) And yes, chocolate is definately good for almost anything. Except maybe the kids with acne
I haven't played my harmonica in a long time. When I did, I was usually in the truck, alone. Today for some silly reason I pulled it out and began playing it. It's an old Marine Band by Hohner. My dog, Benny, has heard me play a number of instruments including a South American clay flute (my favorite), a guitar, piano, and a stereo (the one I'm best at beside
I feel for you. I only taught for two years, but I had a student similar. Only difference was, he would challenge my statements in class. I really enjoyed it although his debating and reasoning skills left a great deal to be desired. Almost every day he used at least part of class time to argue some small point or other. While I enjoyed it greatly, and he was actually a very good student, I feared that I would lose him. You see, he was one of
hmmmm. I haven't looked in on this thread in a while. Amazing how it has turned into an all-out America bashing session. But that's ok. Everyone has the right to voice their opinion. At least in America they do anyway. As an American, I respect everyone's right to say exactly what they feel, even if it is a bunch of hate-filled rhetoric. Personally, I don't care if other governments choose to murder their citizens. It's their
There are times in a person’s life when one has to take advantage of others I couldn't possibly disagree more. I can't imagine a single situation that justifies "taking advantage" of another person. It is unethical, dishonest, and deplorable behavior. If one can't deal with others in an honest and fai
I agree completely. It's stupid to waste time and money teaching people silly things like math and reading. Who does these things anyway? We have computers now. Why should we even bother to think at all? Computers can do that too. Schools should just stick to the really important things like keyboarding, mouse usage, and cellular telephone dialing. Of course, we don't want to forget those all important PDA stylus usage classes. (A physical edu
That sounds pretty impressive. Forgive the joke here please. Does anyone else find the name "Universidad de Morón" hilarious, or is it just me?????
Who's Ference? What is Calgary Flames? Is Calgary on fire?
Parenting is the hardest job in the world. I agree that chiildren need to learn self discipline and self reliance. One the greatest I was taught as a child was to do things for myself. But, I would buy the kids a few toys now and then. There is such a thing as balance.
No miki, not on it's own, but I think you really understand that. This is too serious a subject for the normal banter. Sorry, but it is to me anyway. For someone who is prone to chemically induced depression, diet plays an important role is PREVENTING symptoms. Diet, in and of itself, will not cause depression symptoms. But, if one is prone to these symptoms, diet does play an important role in maintaining health. Good news is, chocol
Makes all us guys uncomfortable miki. I still think that's why they do it Just kidding ladies, don't hang me by my, ummmmm, never mind.
