That's good Lenbert, glad ya like VA. I am currently living about 3 hours from Richmond. Martinsville area. I don't think Florida will be much of a culture shock as I did most of my growing up there.

Gerlyne: Thanks, I'm glad you enjoy reading my collection of on-going nonsense. Scarlett: No worries (to borrow an Aussie phrase), I was just having a tough time. I do not intend to "check out" any time soon. OG and MP: Thanks so much. MP, the easiest way to deal with feelings is to get them out and look at them. I'm a typical male in that I have a hard time verbalizing these things with someone so writing is my way of doing that. </f

Daniel; As for what I mistakenly perceived as a personal comment, I apologize. Something very similar to what you said was said in another thread, and I over reacted this time. I understand completely as some people do tend to reduce discussion to personal insults. I find that to be counter p

That I disagree with you doesn't make me stupid or ill-informed. I couldn't agree more. I didn't intend to give that impression. I simply stated that it appeared to me that your response indicated that you failed to understand the point I was making. If you perceive this as some sort of personal attac

have yet to be persuaded that there's a good reason to uphold any system of ethics hmmm, how about civilized society? You can't maintain any sort of civilized society without an agreed upon system of acceptable behavior a.k.a. morals a.k.a. ethics. Without a system of ethics in place it is i

That part of the country is the WORST for allergies. MI, OH, IN, that whole area. I feel you you. That's one reason I try to avoid that part of the country at this time of year.

From a purely practical standpoint I would say that it would be better to legalize and regulate prostitution to reduce spread of disease and to protect the people who perform this "work". From a moral viewpoint, I would have to say no, I don't think it's a good idea. I guess what I'm saying is....beats me. I'm torn on this one.
