Ive been using it and overall its nice. It has my side bar but generally only the important planets/things. Didnt notice any glitches. Its not something I would deem all that important to game play, but it is a nice thing done well.

I love the pacing. I love the fact that I am playing an RTS, and thus not waiting for my turn button to reset, but at the same time am not rushed into defeat by a lack of super stressful immediacy. Playing Sins can be dramatic at times, but its also very comfy. Thats right, its a Comfy RTS/4X.

I like it as a cap ship ability you dont need a counter for them... they happen and you suffer through it. Its not like there is a 'reverse' ion blast. I could see the Vasari liking mines because they tend to up and leave a place, why not use mines as a rearguard/early warning system.

I think he raises an excellent point about cannons firing through asteroids though. Alternatively, I see the point of not bother due to the Z axis. being available.

more importantly Kryo... People LIKE defenses. People love to make fortresses; catering to that isn't a bad thing. Supreme Commander... almost more defenses than regular units! and Damn fun I might add! Because I am OCD (jk) I would add it to bring the number up to 5, because 4 is a silly number to me lol So; Gauss Cannon, Repair Bay, Hangar, Shield Generator, Missile Battery

Just because the game takes a couple of hours (on a small map) doesn't mean the game's meta-time is the same. You really think in a couple of hours your empire went from 1 planet to 10 or 20 or 30? My god those poor people must have whip-lash! In-Game time is probablly 1 hour = 1 month perhaps week. But it is arbitrary at best.

Oh well; HONK If the Vasari get such a device I feel it should be capital ship size to prevent a very large slow and obvious target. It should not have significant hit points or shields either... as a result of phasic radiation interference from the device itself (haha) I would have it completely disallow phase jumps, but take up about 30 Crew... if a cap ship had this as an abillity, well that would be neat but deadly.

No I actually prefer it being equal in attack to Cruiser, but with greater armor. Just not cost effective. I hate the idea of a Destroyer being smaller than the term Cruiser. If we must we can refer to my idea as the Battle Cruiser instead. Which in nautical terms is more accurate.

frankly a great tech would simply allow your ships to jump in farther away from the planet, essentially all grav wells would have 2 sizes and the larger size is unaccessable until you have the tech. That right there would be truly terrifying. That being said I like how it is now; you will get shot at by the cannons but you do get around quickly and will take few casualties.

Yes there is an allied victory which is actually very nice IMO; for single player you should have a keep playing option though. In multiplayer I had a game with Craig where we all inadvertantly allied and the game ended. I think its cool, none of us knew it would happen. Or at least I didn't!

Somehow I think the devs could restrict the arc more; but there are other ways to balance it Vandenburg, cost; cool down timer etc. I want it to seem like a combat ship, but ultimately fall short compared to an equal supply/cost's worth of Kodiaks, Light Frigates or Capital Ships. Its value isn't in combat, its just beefy enough that player's will LIKE it. Its value would be the extreme convenience on its abillities. Flak/Missile Defense/Scouting... these are the general abili

So I have played a couple games on fast mode now, and I have to say its a good setting and it really helps the early game; also it really helps that the MP stuttering seems to be gone; overall great work, I personally no longer care about the speed issue, I think they have it just right now. And man, we have sound and ships that explode properly online too... fantastic! I need to watch ships more carefully to see they handle way points, supposedly they don't stop and go now.<br

I must keep in mind that we may also be seeing enough of the game; and that there is no Destroyer at yet. Not suggesting it will certainly not help. Where as suggesting pro actively may get me Destroyers. And heck if I try and find out it was already there... boo hoo wasted text? If I don't try and its not there, we get no Destroyer We should chant... Loudly for everything we want, but a

you know I keep wanting to defend Karma when you attack him Ron... but he always ruins it by saying something god-awfully rude or convoluted. Therax - Conquest Frontier Wars was a fantastic game in particular, and I whole heartedly agree with your entire post - I played all of those too except for Nexus.

the scout is just too weak for late game adventuring... thus the destroyer... or rather its more convenient to keep it in a fleet. If the Vasari have it, then fine, they should keep it. I would still want a destroyer though.

goody! Wouldn't it be nice to have just a heavy Kodiak with excellent support options? But costly enough that you wouldn't have more than 2 hanging about? (or rather 1 per fleet)

here are some UNSC ships I made... or my take on it... they will be in the next Gauntlet's Race Mod update. I stayed with a big hulking MAC gun approach.. the small hull has one such item in front and low, the medium has two side by side, and the large has 4 built into it; plus lots of hangars. The Fighters are nothing too special though.

...Why why are you so intent on think that the frigate is the guy with a light gun... Okay consider that the frigates have anti-matter... to spare for special abilities no less... that means they have an anti-matter generator on board... I don't care if the armor on cap ships is as thick as 10 frigates, the frigate with an anti-matter generator can produce enough energy to cause damage. Since anti-matter isn't reduced by firing, they even have a more efficient method of produci

You raise a much better suggestion; that hitting the rear of ships should have a bonus; it would also be nice if we could fire at longer ranges but have a significant penalty to accuracy. 1000 Miles accuracy 20%... meh not worth it 500 Miles 40%... Nope not gonna fire even though it could save my life. 250 Miles 60%... For Honor I will wait till I see the blue of their wind-shields! 125 Miles 80%... Now we shall fight for the TEC! ... Pleas

Good points all around, and an idea I've wanted for some time. It could be a very weak platform, the one good thing Gauss platforms do is that they slow an invasion considerably... they are meaty targets and take time to destroy. Even if they never fire a shot they force players to move around them to avoid the area. Make the missile platform very very easy to kill and you wont be able to rely on it. They could just fly up and shoot it losing just a couple of ships. BUT if you have 3-5
