Geez, could it be they tried to fix the "can't cast til you right click" bug and screwed it up, creating another bug in its stead?

What is slowly coming to seem to work for me is a build much like yours--concentrating on DG buffs for the first few-to-several levels, then concentrating mostly on army buffs later on. Like you, the early game is harder than the late game. But what I do about this is--I just lay low during the early game, and try not to get killed. If enemy comes to me and I don't know I can win, I throw pent and run back to my towers. Minions I sometimes throw at him, sometimes throw elsewhere on the map to
What do you guys mean when you say you can't play with your friends as a team? Isn't this easy to do with custom games?
If my monk/priest idols are attacking something, will they stop to heal me every ten seconds still, or do they have to be idle in order for the heal to be triggered?
Remind me: Does Eberus's bite give him mana, or only hp?
Something spirits are really good at once you've got them upped to ten and given them a few points in morale is taking out enemy towers. They can have them down in no time. The last few games I played, I concentrated on myself for several levels, making myself able to survive dg-vs-dg encounters with confidence, then midgame started building my army so that late midgame I was able to make some really thorough and effective pushes into enemy territory using, basically, just my s
Good news, the problem you are describing will be fixed in the next patch Quote " Update: 9:48pm This evening we got an even newer build from Gas Powered Games that addresses the issue of Demigods not chasing after a target after using an ability. Since this change has been so heavily requested, we're going to integrate that into the beta build. Once we finis
Not trying it, but nonetheless declaring that "it sucks", makes kittens cry.
I think you think Micah was saying your build sucks, but he wasn't. Quite the opposite; he was warning others not to say "it sucks" unless they've tried it.
I was playing against the nightmare AI when my kid started crying in the other room. I hit "menu" but forgot this doesn't pause the game. I went and took care of my kid, then came back a few minutes later. When I went to my kid's room, I was level 1, standing in the center of the map, no minions or creeps or anything to defend me. When I came back, I was level 4, standing in the center of the map, no minions or creeps or anything to defend me, and I didn't see the enemy DG for
I don't think we're talking about high gold starts, because the OP said all he had was banded mail and a few consumables. That sounds like a 1000 gold budget. However, there is one thing that stands out about his item choice. In a typical match, banded mail is better than scale mail. This is not true against Erebus. You should always get a scale mail at the start of the game against Erebus, presuming he's ge
minions do not attack while moving.
They do, I swear they do. I've been watching for this. They chase DGs and DG health drains until minions stop chasing. I'm almost certain. But I've been wrong before. Maybe I misinterpreted what I was seeing. Well, at least if the DG is running from minions I've made the DG run away which serves my purpose in most situations.
It's an interesting point about the fact that a heavy minion build depends on physical damage, allowing opponent to negate with armor. I think you're right that even if I'm focussing on minions I should max penitence as well. That way I can do both physical and magical damage. I just played a couple of games in which I prioritized penitence and ward, taking one point each in soul power, divine justice and surge of faith. Only when I couldn't add to penitence or ward did I take
morale makes a big difference if you have lots of minions. However in the current state of the game i would rather invest the minion money into the citadel or my personal gear rather than spreading it across all 3. monks are essential for any general simply because of the healing. always buff yourself first over the minions, morale may sound like an attractive option however that skill point could go to more useful skills such a
A question about priests. If I've ordered them to attack something, will they still heal me every ten seconds? Or do they have to be idle in order to heal?
What map was this?
Prison
A level three can't just casually ignore towers. I don't know the specifics of your situation but I think it's probable that the best thing to do was to fight him at a tower.
Somehow, this guy was able to ignore the towers. But I think you may be right that I should have been fighting instead of running once I got to tower cover.
for oak pentinence is your most powerful and useful move. If you cast it on him, it will deal 200 damage and slow him for 7 seconds, also causing him to take increased damage for 7 seconds. If you have full mana on level 3 you may be able to cast it twice in a row. this hsould always be the first spell you get
Yes, I think this is good advice. In fact since I posted the OP, I decided I should get penitence first even i
Just to be clear, I didn't quit at that point. I'm just recounting this point in the game as the point at which it became clear to me I was probably going to lose. And I did.
I was Oak, vs Erebus. We were both level two or three--I don't remember exactly. I had (would have had, if I was level 3) ward, soul power and morale, one point each of course. I had banded armor, one health potion, one mana potion, one teleport scroll. The first time we saw each other on the battlefield, since I didn't know if I'd win a battle with him, I tried to walk away. He started following me, so I threw my three spirits at him and started walking toward my base, expect
Do we know when a patch is going to be released that's not a beta patch?
The Rally power heals all allies for 1500 hp over ten seconds and gives them 500 armor. My question is, who are the relevant allies? Just other demigods? Reinforcements? Minions?
Is there a page somewhere with complete images of the DGs' skill trees?
Do I get experience and gold for destroying towers? Do I get experience and gold for enemy reinforcements killed with magic AoE attacks like surge of faith? I am pretty sure the answers are no and yes respectively, but I want to make sure.
I've been abused by a couple of partners now, who were angry because, as it turns out, I'm not as good at this game as they were. It's understandable that I'm not as good--I'm new to the game. I never represented myself otherwise. I never claimed to be good. I claimed only to want to play this enjoyable game. All of you were there once. All of you, just like me, wanted to get better. All of you, just like me, needed practice. That's what I'm doing. Unfortunately, the AI provid
By "creeps" I mean enemy reinforcements, just to be clear. It's happened in a few games of mine now that I maintain map control in the sense of controlling most of the maps and making it such that my reinforcements are pushing his back, and yet the other guy has far more levels than me. Sometimes he loses anyway, but sometimes he has so many levels on me that he can simply chase me and kill me with impunity. It seems like what's happening is that while I'm running around getti
