Perhaps the AI could serve diplomatic notice that the cultral starbase be destroyed or war will be declared. War should be declared quickly if the power under cultral attack is matched or superior militarily with the cultral aggressor. If not they should try to get someone else to attack the cultral aggressor and give them ships near to the cultral starbase(s) in question to attack it. Also they should be building up miltarily meanwhile and possibly building counter culture starbases. <br

They always try to build them in my games but the Korx AI is a right donkey. Often it will try to build huge projects before building a decent amount of factories so hasn't enough production to complete them before someone else. The Korx AI in my experience is pretty poor in most if not all areas.

Well I learned one new thing reading responses. I wasn't aware the super low PQ planets had that much potential. PQ1's are best PQ2+3 are great too but can be colonised by the AI. Only downside with these planets is time to terraform if for some reason u dont go neutral and they don't have bonuses on there tiles.

The alignment system is currently a problem. It creates of artificial alliances which won't attack someone of the shared alignment almost under any circumstance. Meanwhile the player can carve his way though any empire he chooses regardless of if he shares the same alignment of the attacked empire or not.

The whole point of Mega events are to provide events that turn the galaxy on it's end (so to speak). If the cure is easily researched, or if teh AI is hardcoded to research it right away, then the event becomes nothing more then a speed bump. It slows things down, but ultimatly doesn't change things much. Good point. The thing is these mega events should be giving the player a kick in the head much more so than the AI's imo. The odd event should b

I had this in beta 2b and the AI's were very slow to research it. I think Brad/Frogboy/Draginol should hardcode the AI's to research it straight away. I can't think of a situation where this wouldn't be the right course of action the plague affects are just so powerful. Even if there was a situation where researching the cure straight away wasn't the right course of action it would prob only be minor mistake poss except near to tech victory.

PQ1 planets always turn into PQ16 or PQ19 in my experience. They are amazing planets that the AI curerently can NEVER colonise. Good players will often switch to the overpowered alignment neutral early and research up to habitat if not terraforming for the free tiles. It's a huge advantage. A good player knowing the AI's can't colonise these planets will also leave these great planets to last and grab the normal planets that the AI's can colonise first. A player having s

Example: You sign a research treaty with the torians. This gives you 10% of there total research every turn. On the research screen there is an amount showing how much the research treaties should be giving you that turn. If you create zero research yourself that turn (select 0 percent spending)then you should just recieve the amount from the research treaty. Select a low level cost tech (easier to see progress on amount meter) and press turn. You will see that no extra research ha

To continue the colonisation theme... I think the AI not being able to colonise PQ1 planets is a big unfair advantage to us players. These planets can be colonised at a players discrection and always become amazing planets ranging from a potential PQ16 or PQ19. Id like to see ethier the AI colonise these planets or for PQ1 planets to not exist or their there potential reduced eg PQ7 or PQ4 potential.

Lot better than the competition but... Maso level: Colony rush it's still pretty awful. Speed 2 colony ships and small pop colony ships. In my last game the torians had researched industrial sector before building many factories on there worlds which meant there production was non existant. Poor choice of what to research is a big problem imo. I always choose drengin and korath in my games there the most aggressive AI's they at least give the illus

I have to say, I'm a little disappointed in the rebalancing of the AP costs (or the lack of it). The only change that seems to be made was needlessly nerfing Pop Growth, and needlessly nerfing the Torians. I like the fact Pop growth has been nerfed it was to powerful imo. I'd also like to see aphrodisiac nerfed as well a 20-25% bonus would be much better than 50% which is way to powerful. The Torians are a very poor race now. They have the w

The research treaties provide diplomatic bonuses but not extra research at least to yourself. The extra 10% looks as if it is being given i.e. the time to completion of a tech is reduced but the extra beakers are not given i.e. when u hit turn. This problem also existed in beta 2b can't remember if I posted about it or not. This has happened every time I have mutually engaged in a research treaties with another race.

Hive/Thalan are still way overpowered. On a 85-90 planets large loose scattered map maso level 8opponents I managed to colonise 20 planets by sep 1st year. Its just way to easy to out colonise the AI's you can be building a colony ship every single turn in about 10 game turns if you rush buy the factories only costs about 1000 creds. 4 speed colony ships with miniatariztion bonus and ion drive as well. Hive Range bonus also helps. The ability has defenitely been lessened longterm bu

The cost for extra pop growth and amount is different between metaverse and normal games. Prob someone forgot to change the metaverse option. Extra pop growth was very poweful. Perhaps the habitat special should be nerfed as well perhaps 25% insted of 50%.

But I've yet to come up with a defense against spore rushing on a tiny map. Perhaps it's just too powerful then. Increasing cost to get spore tech might be the answer or cost on ship.

Got thinking... In the opening video earths forcefield isn't enclosing the moon surely the drengin would just destroy the moon thus making living on earth unbearable if not impossible. Huge climate/tide changes etc. Thats what I would do if I were an evil conquering drengin anyway.
