The First Vietnamese Baptist Church in Albuquerque began in 1994 when a small group of Christian refugees resettled in Albuquerque and met together regularly for home bible studies. In 1996, the group was able to meet in a small chapel of Crestview Baptist Church. They continue to meet and worship Christ despite the fact that there was no pastor. In 1999, Pastor Tan Thai, one of the first members of the church, accepted his ministry and became the first pastor of the Vietnamese Baptist C
