Runs great on XP... I uninstalled AVG and Zonealarm to try it out. Has a much smaller performance/memory hit than the AVG/ZA combo. Protection...how can you tell, other than after you get infected? So far, so good. I've got 180 days (plus the beta period) to try it out. And I've always got the licence keys for ZA and AVG to reinstall later if I desire.

I just installed Office 2007 beta 2 a few days ago...great upgrade!!! But...WB does not skin the Office 2007 apps ...is this due to the major UI change in Office 2007? Will this be addressed soon?

Using latest update and the 5imple Alpha skin...the toolbar dividers in IE are now solid black lines instead of the normal dividers. Other than that, great!!!

#1...absolutely...it's been that way for all of the OSX 10.x releases. They paid for 10.0, then 10.1, 10.2, 10.3, 10.4.... Does Apple get away with stuff that MS would be crucified for? Not even a doubt!!!!!

Frogboy...just for giggles I uninstalled the full version and dl'ed and installed the "slim" (no plants) version....it works!!! Are the plants that much of a video drag? Neat program, BTW.
Frogboy...The A21 has an ATI Rage Mobility-M with 8mb SDRAM. If the problem continues, how do I contact you for a refund? I really hope I can get it going...it looks really cool!!!
Hey, frogboy...thanks for the fast response...Its a PIII 800mhz IBM Thinkpad A21m laptop. DX 2 and the rest of the Stardock stuff runs fine (I'm a Wincustomize subscriber and have the Object Desktop package).
Has anyone else downloaded and installed this? When I run it, it seems to lock up my system, including explorer and the task manager (XP pro). Does it take an inordinately long time to load?
Ice... SD Central has it as .99, but go to www.objectdock.com and get it there. Kona... The version you have is probably RC1 (1.0 build 284) released about two weeks ago....the release version 1.0 is build 285 in the about screen.
A-ha...the animation effects only work in the GDI+ engine. In the custom engine they do not work.
In my install the "animation" effects when you click on the dock icons dosn't work. The rest of it is awesome.
I find that happens when I put my laptop into hibernation then re-awaken it. The OD clock then stays frozen at the time I hibernated until I reboot or restart the OD program (quit it and re-run)....
