Well, I could essentially download Stardock Central, install it, and then it would grab all the Object Desktop components for me (the trial versions) and then that would basically be like my Object Desktop trial.. no?

Ahh nice!! So Object Bar lets you get your tray back.. and then you can hide the Windows taskbar and use Object Dock instead. Very very cool.

Woops yes.. I meant ObjectDock. You say you're using Object Dock and using Object Bar as your system tray. So I take it you are not hiding your standard Windows taskbar then?

Object Bar rocks. Period. Especially since it's free I'd seriously consider ditching my Windows taskbar entirely and just using Object Bar.. however, doing so would get rid of two necessary items: my start menu, and my system tray. Are there any workarounds for this?

Anyone know exactly which elements are not skinned? I wrote Stardock support, but no answer yet...

Can anyone illustrate the differences between the two? What exactly is limited in the free version? Does it expire after X days? Are certain things not skinned? Does it nag you all the time? Just wondering. Thanks!

OK, so the Alpha OS skin for example... it's a .wba.zip file. But the screenshot shows EVERYthing skinned. So with Object Desktop, do you just point it to that .wba.zip file? I have to say, it's just not clear. If you go to Stardock's site.. the WindowBlinds description follows: WindowBlinds is a program that makes the Windows GUI fully skinnable. Riiiight...sorry! Here I thought WindowBlinds was all that was needed. Hmm But when I look under the WindowBlinds section, these authors post screenshots that show everything skinned. So will that one .wba file contain everything needed?? Then I just need to get the WHOLE Object Desktop collection in order to apply all of it? Or will the author have links to the other stuff (icons, etc)

PS: Not to mention.. that on Win2K now, using WindowBlinds, if a window in the taskbar flashes (like if Yahoo Messenger receives a new msg), that flashing no longer happens!!

Question about WindowBlinds Enhanced 4.2. This should be able to skin everything, right ? But maybe not on Win2K? I noticed that the taskbar is not totally skinned right (I am trying out the Alpha OS skin). And the wallpaper didn't show up, I had to manually set it. Would this particular skin be considered to be for WinXP? Are there good Win2000 skins that change nearly everything, or is that not possible on Win2000? Thanks!
