Simply love it. Nothing about it I don't like.

that is freaking sweet, Jafo! And thanks for the tissue paper filter idea!
my above quotes should be switched around... oops. :)
I know this is really the only true way to achieve
understandable. That's why I said....
As icons are 2D the information required to make reflections 'correct' simply isn't there.
Jafo, the only way the OD2 way is "correct" as you say, is if you are talking about the reflection of a 2D image. The reflection of say the magnifying glass is never going to be a reflection of a magnifying glass. It's a reflection of a picture
Here's what I mean...
Like some others have said, the reflections are just horrific. Completely wrong. It's simply an upside down 50% transparent replica of the icon. That is not a reflection. I know this is really the only true way to achieve it, but it just looks hideous to me. I'd prefer no reflection at all over that mess.
that's what she said.
What's funny about all this is that everyone is so worried that your lies and cheats will be brought out. The best way to avoid that? Don't lie and cheat! If Google is responsible for someone getting caught cheating on their wife, good. The bastard should have not cheated and he would have nothing to worry about. But again, you're all just paranoid. It's kind of funny, really.
Here's one I made up... Chuck Norris push mows his lawn... with a tractor.
Holy paranoia Batman! Google is no different than any other company in any industry. Just trying to figure out the best way to make money. And they do it well. They provide buttloads of services we all want! More power to them! I
Glad to see reflections, but if you look close, they are not real "reflections". Not accurately reflected, just a semi-transparent upside-down image of the icon. In some cases that works, but in others it doesn't work so well... (like the lock, for instance)
nice! Kind of has an old school Mac feel to it. :) And as we all know, even though Macs are crap, they sure look pretty! :)
Wow. Just wow. I love the titlebar buttons.
the link is not working...
I love how those buttons on the left look like tabs... I hope you get this worked out so that you're able to use them... :)
Wow, this is fantastic work for a first timer! I'm excited to try this bad boy out when it's done.... :)
2. Yeah, it was me. I farted. 7. I'm preeeety sure this is not the children's birthday party. Better check my directions again...
Hey Johnny, is my towel still on my chair?
Thanks, that did the trick.
Anyone know how to get rid of the shortcut overlay on icons in Windows 7?
Stealing a Facebook status update from one of my friends... "I really want my iPhone to be 9 times bigger and not be able to make phone calls or take pictures. Anyone know where I can get something like that?" [e digicons]
you know yrag, you have a ton of "karma" for being so helpful. And I appreciate anyone who helps out on this site with questions I might have. It's like free tech support. A great community. But why does it feel like walking on pins and needles with you? Just because you are WAY more knowledgable of this stuff than most people, I just ask a question in reply and you get pissed off and take your ball and go home. If you don't want to help out, don't reply to
whatever, You're info was useless anyway.
after reading that last post it sounded a little "wise-ass-ish"... it's not meant to be. I'm just trying to figure out where you're going with this. You obviously know much more than I do.
And how is that relevant to my original post/question?
