Yeah, I have to admit that I liked the look and function of the old forums. As for content, well hell, I'm sorry. Aww, Mason! It's not your fault; yours is one of the blogs that I love to read regularly (even tho I don't say much sometimes). You consistently provide entertainment, as do most of the people I read. I'm

While the idea of new web deb excites me, I don't know if that's what dharma is referring to . . . it might be that the content has been rather uninteresting of late . . . It's a little of both. I reminisce about the days when I first started blogging, when JU's forums looked VERY different to the way they do today - and those changes are partia

I bought a journal with some of the money I got for Christmas. A red one, hand bound in Italian leather. It's beautiful. So is the fountain pen I bought to write in it with. I figured that a journal like that shouldn't be written in with a plain old Bic ballpoint; it deserved something much better than that. So, I went and bought an old-fashioned fountain pen and I just love the way it feels in my hand and the way my writing looks when I use it. I'm tryin

Well, the UK crew called and everyone LOVED what they got. They've even been WEARING them, which is proof positive that I made the right things for them. Yay!!! Zombie killing has been a TON of fun. I haven't even entertained thoughts of looking up cheat codes for Infected because I like playing it so much. Right now my character is a buff latex-suited chick with big tits and PlayBoy bunny ears - why, you ask? Because the game lets me is my a

Dear Joe, I've been wanting to say this for a while, but have never seemed to find a good time, what with holidays and executions and what not. However, things being what they are I feel that I HAVE to say this or else I will simply go mad. I feel like you and I are drifting apart, and that scares me. We used to be so close....you'd be the first thing I thought of when I awoke in the morning and we'd enjoy each other over coffee. I'd think of y

I'm trying a 2x2 ribbed scarf and have already frogged it three times because I wasn't happy with the stitches. OOh, that's a bold move! Most people start out with garter stitch; you're mixing it up with knit AND purl! You're dangerous...and I like that! I think that I have some instructions in the back of a couple of magazines. If I

I think that you probably made the same mistake a lot of folks make and you mistook a loop between a stitch for an actual stitch and knitted it. It's easy to do, especially if you're using a novelty yarn. Your Dr Who scarf is in my knitting bag, wondering what it did to make me ignore it the way I have been.

The man was a drug abuser and a wife abuser whatever his musical talents it doesn't make up for his personal failings Yes, he was both of those things and more. He wasn't a saint, and nobody ever said that he was. However, to say that his shortcomings and failures as a human being don't make up for his contribution to modern music

It's a Sony kind of Christmas chez Dharma. We were up at 5am; Dave and I woke the kids up because we couldn't stand the suspense anymore. Each of the kids got a PSP - and I got one too - and they got a new PS2 to share. We've had the PSP's since the end of September and have been dying to give them to the kids ever since. Davey and Jake were saying that they'd be up at 3am to open presents, but I put the kibosh on that and gave them a 4am start time.

James Brown, the flamboyant 'Godfather Of Soul' passed away in an Atlanta hospital early this morning. He was 73. He was admitted with pneumonia late last night, but as yet the exact cause of his death has not been determined. I suspect that the coroner's ruling will be that it WAS the pneumonia that killed him; it's a major cause of death for elderly (yes, he WAS considered elderly). Once pneumonia has set in they tend to go downhill pretty quickly, and I'm guessing

Did you see the commercial that the Kurdish people paid for themselves No, I didn't. However, I will go and look right after I've addressed these comments. Thanks for the link, btw. I can't say what t

I have the sometimes dubious pleasure of living on a military installation that's often a stopping point for wounded personnel coming back from Iraq. I saw one of those personnel at the BX this afternoon. It wasn't the donated plaid lounge pants, a 'Go Army' T shirt and a zipper-front hoodie that made him stand out as a returning warrior, it was the obvious burns to his chin, mouth and lower half of his face - and the hospital tags on his arms. He was standing by

When I was a little girl growing up in England, my family and I were avid watches of Dr Who. The first actor I can recall watching in the Role was John Pertwee, who was the 3rd incarnation of the timelord. My favorite was Tom Baker - I liked his scarf and his general joi de vivre - but that's neither here nor there. I can very clearly recall being afraid enough of the Daleks to lose control of my bladder and wet my pants. They were so.....ruthless. Th

I would say that this is an excellent article and would've made a brilliant response, but if I were to do that I'd be accused of 'hitting and running', so I won't say anything at all. Nice to see you, btw.

I've had to log in seven times today. Sometimes I log in, and when the next screen appears it shows me as not logged in and I have to lather, rinse and repeat. It's a bit aggrivating seeing as I haven't had to log in for....well, months. Oh well. It happens from time to time. At least JU is up and we can all blog...as I recall, there was a time this past summer when GalCiv II was released and JU was down for over a week. I'm trying to be thankful for small mercies

We're all guilty of rushing out of the house to do something and looking a little less than splendid, but I can't believe the effort some people put into making themselves look ridiculous. Bingo! That's exactly it - people take a lot of time and effort to make themselves look ridiculous - they'd look better if they'd just not have bother

I was going to title this 'When eyebrows go bad' but decided that as it's content isn't limited to eyebrows I'd better call it something else. I am going to start with eyebrows, though. There are 2 ladies on this base who have probably the worst eyebrows I have ever seen. They're not natural brows, in fact, that's the entire problem: they're so UN-natural looking that they're scary. One pair belong to a black chick who appears to have shaved off her natural brows - o

A friend of mind took part is a rotary club christmas drives around two local villages and they played carols. So? They didn't do it in my hometown, and according to both the local and national press (NOT The Sun, I might add) there have been numerous towns that followed suit. Just because they didn't do it where you live does NO

I've submitted to your request and have read all of your articles. It has, however, been hard to do at times due to your inappropriate usage of commas and other grammatical errors. You seem like a really nice guy who's juse trying to do the best he can and I really enjoy reading about your wife, but man, sometimes it's hard to get through your articles! I have to re-read a lot because I'm trying to figure out what you're talking about! If you'd like some help with your writing skills

Oh my god Mason! I am so, so sorry....I'm sitting here bawling myself. He was a good kitty and he knew that you loved him very much. He had the best life any cat could have asked for, and I'll miss reading about his antics on the road with you. I'm terribly sorry for your loss. If there's anything I can do to help, please let me know.
