That would make a hilarious joke gift though Yes, it would! My kids said that they should get a pair for their dad for Father's Day this year. Holy hell. It's funny; when I'm at the bank, I find it h

Mason, it's long been my dream to visit the Pacific northwest, and your description of it has only made me want to see it even more. It sounds absolutely beautiful, and if I thought nobody would miss me, I'd try to be a stowaway in your truck the next time you head up that way!

Spc Nobody Special chose her colours well; they really suit you I know! That purple is almost the exact same color as the purple in my hair! Posted: Sunday, January 21, 2007 Very nice scarf, dharma. Me l

Do you have a flatulence problem? Have your friends and family nicknamed you 'Thunder Pants' or 'Gassy McFartalot'? Do you own stock in Beano or Phazyme? If you answered 'yes' to any of those questions, I have good news for you! Under-Tec Corp has created 'Under-Ez', underwear with a built-in filter designed to neutralize those embarrasing odiferous emanations. They come in many sizes, from small to XXXL, and are available in a boxer short design for men and a

As many of you already know, JustJohn and his wife becames parents to triplets recently - two girls, Tabitha and Chloe, and a boy, Parrish. They came a little early, but that's normal for triplets. I knitted them some preemie sized beanies and marvelled at how small they were - they fit on some apples I had in the fruit dish - and I sent them off, worrying that they'd be too small. I got an email from JJ yesterday, and attached to it was this photo: <img src="http://i10.

Usually, I am the giver of knitted things, not the reciever. Our very own Spc Nobody Special decided to change all that. I came home from shopping yesterday to find a priority mail box addressed to me sitting on the kitchen counter. When I opened it, I found a hand knitted cabled scarf in a gorgeous colorway and a note from SpcNBS. I can't begin to tell you how touched I am that someone would think enough of me to spend time knitting a scarf for me! I know ho

MM and Colleen: I lit a candle for the both of and asked the universe to send some healing for Elie, some comfort for Colleen and some strength for the both of you. Colleen, you said something about Elie being able to hear you even though he's comatose? I work for a hospice, and part of my duties include sitting with people who are dying. They're usually unresponsive and in a coma, but there's no doubt in my mind that they hear me talking to them. Absolutely none. Some of my pati

I had some neighbors at our last base who drove me insane, and a good friend of mine suggested that I purchse some 'she pee' (synthetic doe urine) from the sporting goods department at Wally World, soak a cotton ball in it and have that cotton ball accidentally fall into their air conditioning unit. That stuff stinks, apparently, and it's the kind of stink that doesn't go away in a hurry. I would imagine that it would have the same effect in an orange-soda colored pice of shit car

Oh fuck! This is what I get for not paying much attention to JoeUser for a couple of days! I'm torn. On the one hand I want Elie to fight to stay here, and on the other....well, I'm not going to go there. Not right now, anyway. I'll just say that I'm going to ask the universe to send not only healing Elie's way, but also the strength to fight this virus so he can stay here with his beloved Colleen. We love you, ModMan.

What an adorable little girl! How's Adrian dealing with being away from her? I would imagine that photos and streaming video like this one makes things a lot easier to deal with, huh? There's still no substitute for being home with her, though. She's going to be spolied rotten when he comes home, and she's going to deserve all of it!

HELP!!!!!!!!!!! I can't access my blog! I try, and it gives me an error page. I can see my blog stats so I know I'm logged on, but I can't create a new article - or else I'd have asked for help there! I know that this is a free site and I am incredibly grateful for that, but this is getting a little ridiculous. I've been having to log in every. single. time. I come here for about a month and have been trying to be patient about it because I know that Joe User is low on the l

I've been following the story and watching for the described truck as I've been running the roads. Me too! I've looked for a white pickup whenever I was about and about. I'm still a little teary eyed watching the news coverage. I'm not a big believer, Mason, but I do think that there are forces at work in the universe that we don't und

I went and looked at the suspect on Utah's sex offender registry. He has an alias, and he also has a felony convition for indecent exposure. He also did NOT register as an offender in Missouri. He apparently was the manager of an Emo's pizza restaurant in Kirkwood, where he lived. Shawn Hornbeck had been seen at Devlin's apartment numerous times in the past 4 years - meaning that he'd been there since being abducted. Out of curiosity

On Monday, a boy named Ben Ownby went missing about 60 miles from here. He got off the school bus and was last seen running towards his home. He never made it there. A white pickup truck was seen in the area, and police stated that they wanted to find that pickup and it's owner. People were out searching for Ben, but the searches were in vain. We all thought Ben was dead and would never be seen again. This evening, Ben Ownby was found alive

Minimum wage raises help the poor temporarily. Eventually prices go up because manufacturers are feeling the pinch of having to pay employees a higher minimum wage and we're right back to square one again. It's not the solution some people seem to think that it is.

We recieved a letter the other day telling us that we are within 90 days of being moved to another house. I called the housing office for clarification, and was told that we may not get a brand new house after all, that we may end up in the existing homes on the other side of the base. I asked if we could be moved into an existing home earlier - mum is going to be here in April and I would prefer to be settled into our new home by then - and the answer was 'yes, of course!'.
