Ditto! And they brag and go on so that they're based in Texas, USA. I know. It pisses me off, it really does, and it's led to me have to question whether I'll buy from Dell in the future. I have a hard enough time understanding directions when it comes to my laptop as it is, without having to deal with an Indian accent and a person who doesn't speak fluent English.

I hate Dell because their customer service call center is in India, staffed by people who have accents so thick that I can barely understand them, and also because there is no 'onshore' representative to talk to when negotiations break down (usually due to the non-fluent English of the call center rep). I hate the now-defunct SBC for the same reason, although I will admit that they at least had an 'onshore' rep available to speak to. I detest AT&T because of their underhanded business practice
And the attitude that offends is that of someone who believes she knows something others don't and constantly congratulates herself because of it. Exactly. KFC behaves as if she knows everything there is to know about Christianity and Biblical matters, and any time another person puts forth an opinion she spouts paragraph after paragraph of self-opinionated judeo-christian claptrap. NOBODY knows more about god and christ than KFC. NOBODY. I s
Ok, I cannot stay silent on this: Greywar is wrong. It's likely it WASN't Tramadol that you have a shot of, it was more likely Toradol. Tramadol is NOT a 'mild' painkiller; it's a non-narcotic medication but molecularly it's similar to narcotics - it uses the same receptors in your brain, so it's not a good things for people who have had issues with narcotics in the past to take, because it can re-awaken addiction cravings. Toradol is the military's injectable
How long has it been since mum has seen your children? 11 years - and she's never met Jake. It's going to be quite a visit for all involved...! Hey, stealth-post! Yeah, I try to f
In 20 days, my mum will be here for a three week vacation. I haven't seen my mum in an obscene length of time; this visit is far too long overdue and is much anticipated. I'm so looking forward to just hanging out at home with her, watching her interact with her grandchildren as she gets to know them up close and personal. It's going to be a wonderful opportunity for everyone. My dad won't be there in person, but he will certainly be there in spirit.&nbs
When Davey was small - just about to turn 2 - he bit the end off of a Crayola chunky marker, and, for reasons unknown to everyone but himself, shoved the end up his nose. Waaaaaayyyy up his nose. Almost in his sinus cavity. I knew something was up when I saw turquoise snot coming from his snout. I could see the tip, but there was no way it was coming out, so I had to take him to the ER on base, where they strapped him down to the little kid papoose and tried to get
...since I wrote an article. I haven't had the urge or the need to write; my creative urge is being satisfied elsewhere - and I've been really fucking tired. We got new living room furniture, and I've been making some American Primitive art pieces to go with the new furniture. It's looking pretty good - I'll take some photos this weekend and post them so y'all can see what I've been doing. I worked 13 days straight a couple of weeks ago. I didn't do it
Aww! He's adorable! Congratulations!
Bravo! Well said, that woman! Rosie is a boring boor who needs to shut up and get over herself. She somehow thinks that her opinions are relevant and interesting - much in the same way that she thinks the drivel she posts on her web site is poetry. I stopped watching her show the day she attacked Tom Selleck and I haven't watched anything she's done since, The View included. I'd rather scrub toilets too.
I haven't been very active here at JU for weeks. Months, maybe. The reasons for that are varied and many. First of all, this having to log in every. single. time. I visit JU is tiresome. Irksome, even. I don't like it, and I'm tired of doing it....hence my distinct lack of participation around here. Next, I have a family and a job to take care of. I love both of them, by the way. I've become very attached to my patients - and t
Britney Spears has shaved her head, and in public to boot. I'm not talking 'pixie' haircut short, I'm talking all off, smooth to the touch BALD: She's been on a slippery slope since.....well, even before her marriage to that sleaze-ball dirtbag Kevin Federline. It's hard to pinpoint the actual thing that made her lo
Today is my third anniversary here at JU (thanks to 'miah for reminding me; I have a 103 degree fever so I'm not really coherent right now. I'm not going to work today; I'm not risking infecting my patients with what I think is the 'flu. That could be a disaster). Three years ago today, I was searching the 'net, looking for a place to start up a knitting blog. I Googled 'free blog sites' and the first place that showed up was JU. I liked the layout, I liked the
You did the right thing and I know how hard it is It's almost like giving up a child. It hurts. Doing the right thing can sometimes be the hardest thing Aint that the truth.
awww that's so sad. Yes, it is. It WAS. Giving him away, I mean actually handing him over, WAS sad, and I cried. The man and woman who have him now are wonderful people, though. They treat their dogs like their kids, so Henry is going to be very, very spolied and very, very loved. He's going to have the time of hi
Excellent job, Mason! Very nice! Now all you have to do is not fall victim to 'Single Sock Syndrome', aka the Knitters Plague. All over the USA there are single socks, waiting and hoping desperately that their makers will see fit to make another sock and they will become the pair that they were destined to be. It's a sad situation; truly a tragedy.
This evening I will take Henry, his crate and his toys and I will load them all up in my truck. I'm not going to drive, I'm already crying and I know that I won't be in any condition to handle the road conditions right now. When I get to our destination, I will hand Henry and his accoutrements over to a man and woman who will be his new 'parents'. After saying my goodbyes, I'll get back in my truck and I'll cry all the way home. Henry isn't going to be living with
It looks more complicated than it really is. Yep. Once you get the hang of it, it's actually pretty easy. Nice job, Mason!
She was the Monroe for this generation, and whilst I'm sad to hear of her death I'm really not surprised. She's been on a slippery slope for years....all the incoherent mumbling appearances told me that she was fighting a losing battle against whatever monkies were riding on her back. She's not even cold yet, but the battle for custody of her child has already begun. I guess that we'll find out who the 'baby-daddy' is now, huh?!
DPN's can be a bit daunting at first, but once you get going they're actually pretty easy to work with. I make all my baby beanies and even my adult hats on DPN's; it's nice to not have a seam running down the back of them. Good luck turning the heel, Mason! If you need any help, let me know....and remember, friends don't let friends knit drunk!
Today was day three of my new job, and I have to say that I am absolutely loving it. My patients are absolute joys to be around. They've been married for 65 years, which just blows my mind, and are the sweetest, nicest people you'd ever want to meet. They both have a progressive neurological disease and whilst he manages to get around the house ok, she needs a lot of help. He mostly needs supervision; someone around to make sure he takes his meds when he's supposed t
I have a baja hoodie, and Dave's got a black and white one that we picked up at a market in Carnaby street, London. That's a fair old way from Baja..... I love my hoodie. It's nice and warm and it's durable too. I wear mine all year round - in the summer when the evenings get cool, the fall and spring as a light jacket, and in the winter under my coat. I've had mine for over 5 years now and it hasn't shown any signs of falling apart - unlike my sweatshirt hoodi
I don't know if any of you noticed, but cutepablo is at it again. This time she (I believe it's a she) has posted 10 articles in a row. Gilford Tuttle got warned about such behaviour, is it possible that cutepablo can be warned too? This isn't the first time they've done this, and it gets pretty old pretty quick. Admins, can you please help?!
I wish that you could hold my heart in your hands. I wish that you could see the love contained within it, that you could see the color of that love and feel it's warmth and know that all of it is for you. I wish that I could make you feel the way I feel. I wish that I could make you feel the way my heart leaps in my chest when you look at me, how it races when you speak my name. I wish that I could have you know how it feels to love you......and to be loved by you
I've made a pair of sock monkies. I've called the boy one Spanky - and if you need an explanation for that name then I don't think you should participate - but I can't think of a name for the girl one. You can see my kind of humor coming through with the boy monkey's name, and I'd like to continue that with the girl one. Help me name my monkey, JU, and I'll see if I can't come up with a little knitted something as a prize!
