I'm restless today. I got up at 0600 even though the kids don't have school (parent teacher conferences - Jakes was yesterday and he's a straight B student, which is awesome for Jake). Dave went to the gym at 0500 (like always) and I thought I heard the screen door slam announcing his arrival home from running the perimiter of the flightline (7 miles), so I hauled my ass outta bed - only to find that it wasn't Dave but the cat who had got shut out all night and was throwing hersel

Didn't you post this same article a while ago? You did, I'm sure of it. Once again, it's 'come to PASS' not 'past'. And, once again, people have been saying the exact same thing for aeons. It aint happened yet, and I seriously doubt that it's happening now.

Ok, I have a wee little problem with what you've said. You say that this guy has a girlfriend, and that he told you this. You then say that you and he kissed and other things a few times. Then you turn around and call the friend's sister a whore because she's got a bf but kissed the guy you like. Do I have the story straight thus far? If I do, I think you're being hypocritical. He has a gf, and you knew it, but you still kissed him (and stuff). What do you think his gf wou

I've never had an Ebay or Paypal account, yet I received an abusive and threatening email from a 'ticked off trader', saying that if I didn't cough up $283.99 for a HD digital TV decoder/recorder I could expect to face legal/criminal proceedings and have my name registered with a credit rating service.... I've been sent 'invoices' and 'reciepts'

I've been having the same issues. I got no mail for 5 days one time, not even junk mail - and that NEVER happens here. I also had a check that I mailed out for a bill returned THREE times, despite my having contacted the company to verify their mailing address. I eventually called the post office on base and asked just what the feck was going on. Here's the scoop: The USPS has gone to a completely automated system, which makes for all sorts of issues. They've a

I LOVE getting a bargain. It makes me feel so good to know that I got something for a lot less than retail price. I like to tell people how much I paid for things; I relish getting a good deal. But you know what I love more than getting a bargain for myself? Getting a bargain for someone else. This morning I went to the thrift store on base looking for outfits for Angela Marie's baby. I was hoping to get a couple of what I call baby-gro's...I think they'

I got an email from PayPal this morning threatening to terminate my account. I've recieved emails from PayPal before - every single time I purchase something from eBay or Etsy, actually - and I'm familiar with the layout and terminology PayPal uses. So, when I opened this latest email it was immediately obvious to me that this was NOT PayPal contacting me but a phishing scam. The following is the copied and pasted text of the email: Dear PayPal Customer,<

I'll see if I can get something together Aww, thank you! You have to be the most family-oriented single guy I know, and it's adorable! Any ideas about what types of things she needs?

Honey, I wish that you'd stop setting yourself up to fail like this. You are a WONDERFUL mom; you're a better mom than I could ever hope to be. You have the patience of a saint and it's so obvious that you (as you say) love those little boys with everything you have. I don't know why you feel like you're letting them down all the time. Just because you didn't put enough juice boxes in their lunch or you had an appointment that meant you had to leave a school function e

As most of you know, we've got two much loved bloggers who are pregnant and due to deliver baby girls next month. Texas Wahine and Angela Marie have both shared their pregnancy news with us; we've watched them struggle with morning sickness, delighted with their babies first movements and have oohed and ahhed over their ultraound pictures. LW has very kindly offered to act as a rally point for gifts that people would like to send to Tex. I'd like to do the same for Angela

There's lots and lots of grave on it, on in particular that is just a chunk of sandstone with the words MY POP deeply etched into it crudely and childlike. Sad. a child burying his pop all by his lonesome way out there Christ-on-a-cracker, Joe. That's the saddest thing I've heard of in ages. Some poor kid, prolly about the same

The roses are beautiful. Almost as beautiful as the person who grew them Awww! That's a very nice thing to say! Thank you. You know, as I cleared his marker off I talked to him. I told him that I didn't know who he was but that I had come there to take care of what was left of him. I said that I didn't kn

The flowers are ones I picked off my rose bushes. They're the last roses of the season; it's turning colder and the leaves are coming off the trees. Those leaves made it harder for me to find his marker this morning, it was covered with leaves that had blown off the sweet gum tree that's close to his grave. I cleared them away as best I could, as you can see. I've been wondering who James

You are a better woman than I, if you can resist buying anything Well, the store was a bust. They stopped carrying knitting supplies almost a year ago. So, I didn't buy anything there. But, I did get a container for my beads and some more cotton to knit Tex's boys' skully wristbands. So, I am not a better woman than you

Three years ago today, this happened to me: *Yeah, I know it's small, but I haven't managed to come up with a good quality enlargement yet. When I do, I'll post it* I'm lucky to be here. I could have died...I SHOULD have died. According to many physicians and police officers and paramedics, I shouldn't have survived that wreck. But, I did. There have been days when I wished t

I'm embarking on a exciting expedition this morning. I've been anticipating this all weekend. I couldn't go on Saturday or Sunday because the kids were home and my husband wouldn't have been pleased about my taking him along with me. I even woke up in the night thinking about how today was the day. I've found a yarn store in a little town about 8 miles away from here. This is the kind of yarn store that doesn't sell Red Heart Super Saver scratchy acryli

Okay, bad drivers of America, you are attending this lesson this morning because you have, in the past few days, demonstrated your utter stupidity when behind the wheel of a car and total lack of knowledge about the rules of the road. I am here to remind you what to do when you are faced with some pretty common driving scenarios. I think that we'll start with one of the most common situations: A Four Way Stop Sign. Contrary to popular belief, it's not a question of
