I'm thinking, and have been seriously considering getting a 'Monroe' (facial piercing, right about the spot that Marilyn had her mole - aka a Madonna or a Crawford) or maybe a labret (in the dimple of your bottom lip). I marked on myself with an eyeliner last week to see what I'd look like with one, and to be honest I think I prefer the Monroe. You

I dunno. We're (Jill, Nic and I) all roughly the same age, aren't we? Maybe that has something to do with it. I'm all for feeling confident in your own skin...sexiness just comes along with that, I think.
And that's what I'm doing Ted...trying to remain true to myself but going with the progression of things, of my life, of my personality. I don't try to be something/someone I'm not anymore, I did that my entire twenties (sad, but true). I suppose I'm relishing being myself and seeing where 'me' will go. Nice to see you here, btw...come back again!
Yes, I had that problem to start out with. I tried to practice when they were in bed, and if that absolutely wasn't possible I ended up incorporating them into some of the stuff I was doing ('cow' with a toddler balancing on my back like were were playing horsey!). I still have that problem, come to think of it... I think I'd like clogging too..!
Yes, Nicky, life is good....life is very good.
dharmagrl.............are you saying that i am more rediculous than other people???? Nope, I'm saying that you're AS ridiculous. There are some other things that I thought about saying too, but I'm going to follow the 'right speech' precept of my chosen path/faith and not say them. Have a wond
I meant 'with our', not 'with out'...don't want people thinking I'd leave my kids alone.... :(
Yay! We're kindred spirit girly girls! It's a shame we don't live closer, we could leave the kids with out respective spouses and go have a girly girl day shopping for hats and shoes!! i'm telling you, hats are the way to go....stylish and practical too! What more could a girl ask for?!
My littlest guy is the same way. Wants to take everything apart to see how it works, but then can't put it back together again.....he's nearly 8, and is getting the hang of fixing stuff he dismantles but I still have to keep an eye on what he decides to 'undo'. His Dad was the same way, according to my mother in law...and my mom said I did the same thing too. I wish I had some advice for you, but I don't...all I can say is hang in there, and
My last blog inspired me to take a look at myself...... ..I'm becoming a girly girl. I used to be a tomboy, a real guy's girl..a 'lad-ette' as the British put it. More at home in jeans and boots than a dress and heels, determined to hang as tough as any guy...and I did, even if it meant getting injured. I've played flag and full contact football
Sometimes I think he's having us all on. I think he comes out with blatant propaganda that he knows will start a fire in order to satiate some desire or need he has. I've seen some really dirty comments he's made (he asked to see someone's p*&%y), so I have a hard time believing he's for real. Then again, he could be a hypocritical, bigoted, a$%@*le. Only Marvin knows for sure. ALL THE SHOUTING SURE DOES GET OLD, THO!!!!!!
Hatha is more of your 'power' yoga....Bikram you do in a room heated to 90+ degrees.....it's very simple, not too taxing or strenuous, but boy do you sweat! I'd recommend Hatha. You can do it at home, most of the videos/DVD's sold for in-home use are Hatha based...and a lot of them use Pilates too. Sometimes it's helpful to have a teacher, but again, most of the tapes etc sold will give you good instructions as to where you should be feeling each
And that was going to be my next point. I'm not suicidal, i'm staying well clear of the BlogsForBush boys.
Some people don't know how to be civil and level headed, it would appear. Yes, I agree there would have been more...errm....satisfaction as you put it, in murdering him face to face....but then again, is all this killing really solving anything? (that's a rhetorical question, please don't go off on a tangent)
Why do you say you won't ever be 65, Dan?
Eternal Sunshine would be my choice.
I'm just getting into hats...I like to wear them on 'bad hair' days. I have cowboys hats, taxi driver flat caps, newspaper boy hats in various colors, ball caps...I want a fedora or a trilby next, and maybe a beret too. I too will do my hair the way I want to and dress the way I want to regardless of whether I'm too old for that style or not, and I will never, ever stop wearing makeup. I also have started wearing heels a lot recently...it just makes
Me too! With Manic Panic Red hair and lipstick to match, the newly-vegan aging Buddhist, wearing fishnets and heels EVERYWHERE because it makes me feel good.......roll on sixty-five, I'm going to be having the time of my life...wait, that's who I am now.....minus the fishnets, I can't get the hang of those. Still, roll on sixty-five!!!!!
I'm reading a book called 'Love Dharma', about relationship's from a buddhist woman's perspective. At the end of it is a poem that made me laugh out loud because I have a feeling that this is pretty much how i'm going to be when I'm 65. "Growing Old The Willis Way' by Jamie Markus, age eighteen. The day my great-grandmother Willis tu
On behalf of the rest of humanity, thank you for giving a shit. On behalf of my husband, a police officer, thank you for giving a shit, and for taking the time to call it in. You did a good thing...
I'm trying to persuade my other half to get a blog.....we're having to live apart at the moment and I think it would be really cool if he got one so we could stop by each other's blogs...just another method of communication, you know? Anyway, congrats on being in the top 100.
I'm going to have to give this one a shot......I'm going into town today so I'll stop by Borders and pick up a copy.
There is, as far as I'm concerned. I get on-the-job training, I learn a new skill, and I get letters of reference and recommendation from the people I worked with and for when I leave. I can also be nominated for the Volunteer of the Quarter award (more recognition). To me, the sense of accomplishment is as good as a paycheck...and this experience is going to serve me well in the future.
We love our families, but we need to use our brain. Sherye, you hit the nail on the head.
Pilates and/or Bikram yoga. Hatha yoga's good too. Everyone thinks that yoga and Pilates aren't 'real' workouts...until the day after they do a session when they're sore. Jill's suggestion of walking is good too.
