I'm convinced I'm an idiot. I can't find where to research the techs needed for capital ship production. (formalized training plan, etc.) They have to be in plain sight somewhere.... right?
via SDC- here's an update: disabled simple file sharing and manually gave permissions. This works so far. WB loaded at startup this evening, no problems skinning. I'm glad I found a solution but I'm still puzzled, as I've never had to go this route before w/ WB. I'll post again if the startup problem returns. Would be interested in any insight on either issue.
Thanks for the help. I tried using an earlier ATI driver which I had previously used with no problems w/ this card. Also, I uninstalled the beta and installed WB 5.01. This seems to be some improvement, however, often WB doesn't load at startup, and I have to apply the skin twice to get it to skin everything. I've had this problem fairly regularly with several skins, so it's apparently not the skin. In addition, other users on this computer (home) can
WB5 launches and looks ok, but when I select a skin and "apply changes" it goes blank and changes my gui to a Windows classic theme. When I close it I get the "this program is not responding" box. In the Skins and Themes section of Wincustomize Browser (2.00a(b).003) libraries fail to download when selected. Error message: "there was an error downloading the selected library, please try again."
Until recently other users on my computer could access OD components. Apparently this is no longer the case. They both have admin permissions. How can I restore access to OD?

Updated SDC this AM to 2.19(b)140 build 98. Can't find WB 5 betas, many link icons here on discussion board and elsewhere do not display. Advice appreciated.

I just purchased the Wincustomize browser and the serial number I received is apparently not valid. I couldnt make heads or tales of the "support" page. Need suggestions.

I need to reformat my hard drive & do a clean install. I'm seeking advise on backing up and restoring OD. I have used the backup feature in the Component Manager, but does this also backup Component Manager itself? If no, how do I do that? Any advise on this or other issues I may encounter in this process would be greatly appreciated.
