I'd be all to happy if US invades Iraq without resorting to carpet bombing, because, evil as Saddam is, he is bound to use citizens as shields. The US Troops go in, Saddam and get the hell outta there. No need to stay put in the country under the pretext of security and undermining the sovereignity of the Iraqis. Otherwise, as of today, I suspect their intentions.
There might be an Iraqi citizen amongst our midst. Imagine what he would feel, we discussing the bombing of his home from the safe and comfortable confines of our rooms.

Dear The Rated PG, I think that the US and UK should wait for the UN weapons inspectors to truly complete their jobs. Their findings should be placed before the UN and there should be a vote in the UN. If the US is so sure that the position it is taking is right, it shouldn't be hard for it to convince the UNSC for the action it aims to take, isn,t it?
