Mr Bush is working on that Weaksid... soon everywhere will be the same... dammed inconvenient for the Corporate Globalists to have to deal with cultural differences. Better if everywhere abandons their culture and their sovereignty and just be like US...

In the Windowblinds configuration window on the "settings" tab click on "advanced" and put a check in the box "Make Explorer backgrounds semi-transparent". You also need to set your folder options to "use Windows classic folders" from the folder options dialog. ("Tools/Folder Options" on an explorer window's menu.) For more color options (the default is cyan) download "TransTool" from the tools page at http://go.to/WBStuff

Actually I heard that it is faster. It uses the native skinning format plus it adds acceleration that XP doesn't use. So a basic skin would be faster in WB than the MS XP skins.

email to Vladimir: __________________________ Mr. Tereschenko, I noticed you are using artwork by treetog, Alexandrie, pixtudio and mormegil in the skins you submit to Opera.com. I did not see any usage rights mentioned in the file or even a copy of a permission email. This is an unauthorized use of copyrighted material. The only legal way for you to post these anywhere is to get written permission from the original artist. Theft of copyrighted artwork from th

I wonder if this guy got permission from them? There's an awful lot of work in one of those skins. If they are done illegally how stupid is he to do that. I'll send him and Opera.com an email but I sort of think he must have gotten permission to do something so visible and that takes so much effort.

Every category listed on the left is a skin format that requires a program to make it work (except wallpapers). Download the program and the skns will work. There's a link to the software at the top of each section's skins list. There's also a FAQ at the top of this message board... you should read that. Everything on this site works with XP btw...

bmetsky, and everyone else who feels it's necessary to flog this issue. Having Apple type themes on the site makes a lot of people very happy. It's amazing how popular it is and how many people appreciate it when they find one. It's been a violation of various rules to have them here, but maybe, they just got by when we were really busy, or they weren't scrutinized very close, who knows? But yes, there are many that are here, unless somebody wants to make a crusade out of it. Or unless Apple con

Generally IRC is pretty quiet unless someone has something to say. That's why elvee's idea for a "chat room for useless banter" is a good idea. It would be a more active place for conversations. If you install MIRC you can be connected to several chat rooms, leave them open in the background and have the window notify you if anyone mentions your name or addresses you. Very handy...

sorry, that got cut off. Here's the rest: The next step is to add a [ColoursMask] section which is identical to your [Colours] section except that instead of it saying: [Colours] ActiveBorder=215 215 215 The new section is: [ColoursMask] ActiveBorder = 0 to 255. 0 means don't touch it. 255 means completely blend it. 1..254 are various shades inbetween.

You need to make a mask for each piece you want re-colored. It's covered here in the UIS2 Reference document: http://www.windowblinds.net/skinning/ Look at a skin like treetog's CopperDeckII which has masks to see how it works. Here's the instructions from the link above (this was for WB2 and it might have more capabilities now): WindowBlinds 2.0 allows users to change the color of skins. A skin author, however, may not want the entire skin's color changed. Instea

Gabriel - I had just posted your skin (added the XP and shell styles flags for you btw) and then I looked at Agneva's skin that you mentioned inspired this one, and then I pulled it off again to ask you some questions first. Did you get Agneva's permission? about half of the skin looks identical to his. If you have permission, you should include a copy of the email in with the skin. Just copy the text into a text file and add it to the zip before you name it to a .wba. You uplo

well that's a relief... none of the other admins have to review or moderate your work eh? good deal, more time to try to read through all the off-topic and senseless posts on the message board to see if there's any one that needs a real question answered or a subject that hasn't degenerated into a playground.

No problem @shu, I understand that. I'm not talking about just you and Gupps and I'm not talking about just this thread... and I'm serious, IRC works much better for conversation.

It seems that SDCentral sets up a different path and then Component manager gets confused about where to put programs. You need to use regedit and check the "Installation Path" here: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Stardock\Object Desktop\MANAGER\Component Manager Make sure it's the same as "Installed" and "Path" (should be the Object Desktop folder)
