Seems my issue with ODTs Cursor program was a partialy downloaded theme file in the theme folder. My guess is when it tried to read that file, since it was incomplete, it locked up the program.

Are forum signatures turned off or am I just not seeing where to add one? Do we need to just add a sig every time we post? Dev
@ Neil Banfield Hi, So sorry I usually remember this stuff. I use Windows 7 SP1 x64 I use Norton 360, but had no problem with the beta and Norton, plus I set Norton to basically ignore WB as much as it can. I also have Malwarebytes running but again never had a problem with it before. I even tried turning it off
Hi, Actually I went to the Stardock Store and to my account so I could do a fresh install, as I was using the beta, and all that is there now to download is the new version.
Hi, Installed WindowBlinds 7.3 final and it's doing that no skinning thing again when I reboot. It's random, sometimes it runs at startup sometimes it does not. I have auto restart disabled like tech support said but it's still happening. The last beta was working flawlessly. I may go back to it. Also since I installed 7.3 it broke both my Cursor Control Panel and my IconPackager browser. They both lock up minutes after starting them. They work fine with WB removed
HI, Just checking in. Any new news about the beta version? DO we have any new files to download? Thanks! Joe
So it is safe to remove that reg entry? Joe
Can anyone please check their WindowBlinds folder and see if you have this file there? Also if so inclined can you aos run autoruns: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902 and see if you have the error under the "Winlogon" tab untill I hear from tech support? Thanks! Joe
Hi, I just opened a ticket about a problem I found concerning a missing file in WindowBlinds. Here is the text of the ticket if anyone here knows about this or can help: "Hi, I frequently run a Microsoft system tool called "autoruns" It lists all of the programs, files and services that run at startup. Under the "Winlogon" header it shows this error: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Notify WB File not fou
Hi, Did they turn off avatars and sigs, or is something wrong? Maybe I am doing something wrong but they used to work fine now I see none on any of my posts. I have changed nothing in my profile. Joe
Has anyone had any incidents with Norton 360 and Stardock products? Just asking. Joe
Hi, So what's the build number of the latest beta? It's hard to tell from my account download area. When was the latest update as well. Can't seem to find any new information on it. Thanks, Joe
Hi,, Is there anyway to create a signature for use on the forums? dev
If you bought ODNT (Object Desktop) then it is free for you. Why you'd download from stardock.com I don't know, but I'd advise you to uninstall the trial and (use ccleaner) the registry links, or Revo uninstaller at medium strength and delete the values in bold font. Then download and install Icon Developer from here: https://store.stardock.com/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=/myaccount/products
joelore I took a look at the download page and it shows a free or paid version, nothing about a trial version. This being the weekend I don't know that a Stardock rep will see this until Monday. I myself do not have Icon Developer. I will see if there is anyone in the Stardock IRC that can answer this for you. EDIT: Ahhh, Doc is always around.
Thank you my fri
I downloaded what the site said was the FREE version of Icon Developer https://www.stardock.com/products/icondeveloper/downloads.asp but after install it says that this trial version will expire in 30 days. What's the deal?
Hmm, well I guess I am going to try and see if there is anything I can do here then, Perhaps it's the theme(s) I will get some more and try a few of them. Thanks, Joe
Hi, I opened a ticket but thought I would post what I wrote here to see if anyone else is having this problem and maybe has an answer. Here is my ticket post: " Hi, I own Window Blinds 7.2 Build 297 x64 and everything seems to work well and installed/activated OK but every time I open a Windows Explorer window, a good example is the My Computer windows, I get no icons until I right click on the window somewhere.
Joe - Some people reported earlier in the thread that if they switched to Aero from classic (from within WB after reboot), then to some other skin, WB would work. Presumably, YMMV.
That did not work for me.

If I uninstall and reinstall it works again the first time but after reboot it craps out again. WB icon never was in the system tray either at any time. Going to post to terch support too. I uninstalled it and reverted back to the production release but then even that was al
